Rupture. D180s, Small Neuts, MWD/Scram/Web, 1600 plate, EANM, Gyro x2, Suitcase, Damage Rigs.

Cheap and efficient. I'd hazard it against anything sub-bc.

cant go wrong with a rifter. if you wanna go for more power then either a jag or a wolf, depending on whether you fly shield or armor

cane is basically the only minmatar ship you'll ever need.

Check my Battleclinic for fits... (I fly cheap 99% of the time because I take insane risks)

Minmatar is my favorite race.

Tornado, Hurricane, Rifter, Wolf, Jaguar, Dramiel, Firetail, etc... All great Solo Ships.

Vaga is still decent, not as good as a cynabal, but cheaper.

Lost my wolf to a Rupture. I was doing quite well until he dumped some ew drones on me and i lost my lock. He then mwd'd to me, drained my cap and webbed me. Was all over then! Fair play to him, was a good fight while it lasted!

don't even start thinking what could come through the gate and who his homies might be
lock the ship, make it dead

try to kill three in a row without getting blobbed and torn a new one
then 10
fifty

that is your goal

Hisec, lowsec, or nullsec?

Hisec: wardec people and station camp them until their neutral RR shows up.

Lowsec: mostly devoid of people, may run into the occasional other roamer or even a PvEer or two. Fights mostly happen in asteroid belts or at planets/sun/other celestials. You can fight on a gate if he has below -5 sec status, but beware that he may jump in friends.

Go to FW space to find more people, but be aware that many of them may have friends as well, and since you're not in FW you may have to GCC.

Nullsec: I could talk a whole day about various things to do, people to see, and places to go. Narrow down the query if you want.

I'll think about that when/if I crosstrain into gallente, also, I decided to go with a double web armor cane, should I drop a web for a sebo? Damn frigates.

Sebo only helps you with targeting speed, and it's useless to target a frigate 5 seconds sooner if it only means you can't hit it because it's too fast. Dual webs are the real solution against frigates, since it stops them in their tracks.

I don't know very much about that, unfortunately. It appears to be mostly pretty dead, with pockets of activity around the entrances into 0.0. Hang around Khabi, Mifrata/Sendaya, or Assah. If you want some easy 0.0 roaming you can also dip into Providence through Assah.

Petrus, tyvm for help, I've been learning the area fastly and the corps in power (painfully). But I think I'm getting this figured out, somewhat. Best way to learn is trial by fire :D

The simple answer is, you shouldn't. Not on that toon. If this is your first account than honestly you shouldn't period, solo pvp is not easy and you need to know what to do and where to turn at every corner. The most effective solo pvpers also rely on fleet boosters and scouts, some times even blockade runners to feed them ammo and boosters.
