Hi all,

I have noticed some disparate reports of client performance issues with the release of Crucible 1.5. To assist us in diagnosing these issues, please submit bug reports via bugs.eveonline.com, ensuring that you attach your DxDiag file (or PLIST for Mac users). Measurements of the FPS level you are getting in space and in station (hangar and CQ) would also be good to know. You can get the FPS measurement by pressing Ctrl-F in-game. Title the report "Crucible 1.5 Performance Issue" for easy filtering please.

Thanks,
CCP Goliath

Curious. But I have found Ctrl + F Will actually have an impact on FPS when shown (From past experience). Though it may be a bit more complex and noone should mess with options within it, Ctrl + Alt + Shift + M has usually shown a more accurate and stable FPS without the performance Hit. Correct me if this has been fixed. What?

If the FPS meter has an impact on the FPS, this impact will be consistent when used in each of the areas, so we can take that into account. I wouldn't want to comment on whether or not one is more reliable than the other as I don't know 100%.

Performance ? Zero computer still can't patch properly ... everytime you guy does a patch I have to reinstall the whole damn client. Give us something to fix this zero performance launcher CCP throws at us?

Have CCP been getting any reports of heat issues since Crucible 1.6? NVidia's latest driver caused myself and others problems but having done clean installs of drivers 285.62 and 295.72, I'm getting much higher temps. For instance, launching a single client now runs much hotter than my previous peak for running four clients. EVGA GTX 560 Ti 2048 is the card I'm using.

Still experiencing the RAM leak....only happens with Eve...

Starting client on MINIMUM graphics settings starts at around 650 mb

After station sitting for a few hours it climbs over 1 gb.....still on MINIMUM graphics settings.

Please fix this, i'd hate to have my lappy melt and thus prevent me from playing (paying for) Eve...seriously, i'm not gna continue to play a game after it melts my PC.

I get this too, but found a curious thing while messing around in the options today. Normally (since Crucible) my client starts at around 500-560mb then steadily climbs to around 2.7gb(!!) over time before i need to relog due to stuttering.

However, after disabling sound in the esc options, the memory doesn't increase like it did before (my client's sat at around 460mb after about 2 hours of playing). I restarted 2 clients, one with sound enabled and another disabled. The one with sound enabled is atm 1.7gb (and rising), while the one with sound disabled is glued at 418mb.

Can anyone else check this and c/d whether the sound is being the memory leak issue in your case too?

Sitting here watchingmy Task Manager, and the memory usage of all my clients are gradually ticking upwards every second, reaching 1.2GB for each one now.

Funny, no dev response about this in over a month. And no mention of it in tomorrow's patch...

Yesterday my client TRIPLED its ram ram use through the afternoon. There is no need for this, it prevents me from mining with my accounts for more than a few hours at a time, as presently one of my multi-client PC's will crash out one or both clients b/c it ran out of ram.

And if you refuse to believe us (or test it yourself, not hard, just open up Task Manager early/late) please explain to us how a "bug report" is going to show you more than us just saying..."It's eating our ram."

There are issues with the network connections into ccp.cc, well documented and confirmed by third parties.

CCP Please review this thread https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=82128

Apologies if you are already aware but lack of response from CCP implies noone is looking at the issue.

I've had a very strange performance issue with CQ and Anti-Aliasing.

I dual box EVE on two monitors, one at 1900x1080 and the other at 1280x1024 running on a pair of GTX 460s in SLI.

Normal gameplay is fine as is jumping and having one or both in station or in CQ. The problem arises when I launch one client from a CQ enabled station both clients drop from 60FPS down to about 5 FPS. I was able to correct the issue by reducing the AA settings on one client.

I suspect that this isn't actually AA related but more down to a major change in graphics settings forcing a refresh somewhere which makes everything behave again. It's almost as if some station based stuff is surviving after launch and isn't getting cleared up correctly

Noticing RAM issues too. Not sure when it began, but I've seen them for at least a couple of weeks. It used to be in the 500-600 range, but now it will steadily climb to around 1GB, which is half of what I got :)

Devs, what can I do to help you diagnose this issue?

Cheers,

I followed the advice to disable audio. I also disabled eve voice, plus I had two graphics settings set to 'high' which I changed to 'medium' (level of detail and texture quality). Memory usage is now stable around 645 MB RAM, which is 300 less than it was before.

I'll try enabling those settings one by one to determine whether it was really the audio that did the trick for me. My laptop has Realtek High Definition Audio for sound, btw.

if more information is needed, please let me know.

I am getting an appcrash every so often when warping into warp disruption bubbles, as you can imagine this is slightly inconvenient...

Using Gainward Golden-Sample GTX 260 core 216

I run dual boxs and everything is fine, 60 fps, until i hit warp bubbles Sad
