Support for changes to jump clone mechanics!

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

Almost everyone supports the idea of shorting the timer by 2 hours.

That Masternedguy is against this of course measn its probably a good idea.

Support reduction of JC timmings.

Anything that allow me to JC in the "next day" without having to wait 24 the full hours.

Because, 1 miss step and BAM! your JC is being pushed ahead on time.

Anything 23h or bellow.

I also support changing the jump clone timer.

Less time to jump clone equals more pvp.

If you don't want to pvp go to highsec and stay there.

If the enemy can use it, so can you. Remember: "If everybody’s super, no one is"

If you really don't like the reduced jump clone timer guess what? You don't have to use it and you can voluntarily wait 24 hours to jump clone.

Moving your jump clone really doesn't matter in the big scheme of things, its the movement of ships that really matters and that would be unaffected with this change.

I do want to see the time it takes to enter and exit full speed warp reduced, but that's for another thread entirely.

I will repeat it again and againt.
Jump clone timer dependat upon distance.

It is nerfing power projection.
It gives ability to swap clones with different implants at station

What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?

Let me guess, you also support supercarriers and titans being able to operate without support, right?

Fast jump cloning (or any form of fast travel) promotes concentration of forces to minimize losses. In other words, blobbing. It's the difference between:

Quote:
"Guys, there's a 10-man gang roaming our nullsec pocket, and we don't have anyone defending!"
*10 hisec carebears dock up and JC down*
*10 roamers from a different region dock up and JC over*
*10 people already in the pocket JC into their 'PvP clones' and get ready to shoot things*
"Awesome, we got numbers now!"
*Very one-sided warfare goes here*
"gfgfgf o7o7o7o7o7o7o7 gj m8s"
*Everybody jumps back to whatever they were doing*

And:
Quote:
"Guys, there's a 10-man gang roaming our nullsec pocket!"
*A total of 5-10 people JC down, the rest go mysteriously "AFK, busy IRL"*
"Uhh, guys? We don't outnumber them. Dock up and hope they leave."

In the latter example, the people who actually got off their ass and organized an attack get the upper hand. More effort and more risk = more reward. As it should be.

While less JC time may lead to "more PvP" in which "PvP" means "people shooting each other", it does not generate more meaningful PvP that is not just dogpiles of mindless "push F1, get bacon" blobs.

Also IBTL for duplicating threads.
