If I have labs at a POS in a system with no stations, can I still operate it remotely but keeping my BPO's in station in a nearby system?

No they have to be in the same system unfortunately

Incorrect. You can train up the skill for remote management (i think scientific networking ) and you can sit up to your skill level away, have a corp hangar in a station and you can remotely research. but as long as your POS is in high sec I see no problem with putting them in the lab themselves. if you get war decced then just pull the research and move them.

No I'm afraid Mmily is correct, blueprints must be in the same system. Scientific networking skill allows one to initiate and deliver jobs remotely (as in you as a pilot sat in a remote system) as per range dictated but the blueprint itself must be located in the same system as the installation to be used.

Putting prints in the labs is an option, the risk naturally being that if you don't log in / check mail for 24 hours you may be too late to spot a wardec and pull them out - if we're talking cheap prints this is likely less of an issue.

Incorrect.

The POS and (NPC Station) Corp offices must be in the same system in order to remotely install jobs in POS labs. Scientific Networking only affects how far away from the labs you can be to install/manage/deliver the jobs.

You cannot have BPOs in a station in (for example) Jita, and research in a POS in Perimeter.
