Out of Pod Experience

was my Mum's 93rd birthday.

Mum was born in 1918, think of all the changes that have happened to socierty since then and Mum has lived through em all.

The terrace house she was born in didn't have electricity as that came later, just gas, no hot water except what you heated up on the cooker, no telephone, no TV, hardly any radio's around, very few cars, all the trains and ships ran on steam fueled by coal, no one knew what the word computer meant, the internet was a complete unknown, horse draw carts were common, and farmers didn't use tractors just horse drawn field implements, aircraft and airships were still a novality, and the Wall street crash was still over 10 years off ect.

All that's come and gone and Mum is still here. :-)
