Will Trit ever be 3isk a unit again?

Serious honest question, is the current price of trit speculation and game changes? or is its the norm and its not going away.

Possible but unlikely. As bigger ships continue to be sought after it takes more and more trit. As long as you have a large demand, it will affect the price. The current price is all due to speculation and i do see it coming down into the 4's again but I dont see 3's unless something big happens like 0.0 finds love and lives together peacefully or

I've been looking at the trit market like a black hole. The more that gets thrown into it, the bigger the demand gets. as such I've decided to avoid it, going to look into blueprints that require as little of the stuff as possible.

Personally...... I enjoy the higher markets... reminds me of 2006 made a pretty penny back then.

To give you some perspective, I've gun mined for a few days on and off for the last week. I have 100mil units of trit from alloys. That's enough for what is needed for a freighter. Almost enough for a rorqual. This is like 2 or 3 hours at a time.

That's all going away soon, so I bet you'll have trit up a bit more for awhile until the market stabilizes. Mining will finally be more profitable and prices will fluctuate with industry demand, not how much people rat in the drone regions.

Hey Cassi,

I do not believe that we will see 3isk trit again for awhile. With all the changes that are imminent we will see a fairly sharp decline in trit available on market which will jack up prices. One thing that I do know is that the market is cyclical. We have seen trit prices this high before and we have seen trit prices below the 3isk mark before too.

If there is more supply than demand. Trit is used in modules ships etc when i started the price was 3isk. With drone alloys being removed from the game the price of trit will probably become higher plus hulkaggedon on the 28th gonna be higher prices for minerals for a month of two before it slows down and prices stabilize a bit more

Its not going back in that box. its up because the supply will shortly be permanently reduced.

...until CCP 'buffs mining' by giving us the new bigger better mining tool that ups mining yields to 5km3/min.

I can easily see it readjusting back down to 3 but it will take a year or more of stagnation. Trit has been high before and fallen back slowly. Enjoy the prices while you can.

With ccp removing drone mins soon and the huge number of super caps that are being built in such a stable null sec I doubt prices will be near 3 or 4 again without somegameplay change by ccp. It should in fact get worse because instead of drone regions putting mins on the market they will just get a straight bounty, so while the Mins they contributed to the market are all gone, their income wont be so drastically effected.

the more bots get banned, the less the glut of the mineral in the economy the higher the price

The problem right now is that the price of Nocx is pushing up the value of Pyrox, which means more mining of Pyrox, less of Veldspar. The Mex prices being above 50 also means more mining of Kernite/Plag, with less focus on Veldspar. So until Nocx/Mex takes a tumble, it will continue to pull Trit/Pye/Iso prices upwards.

Or unless CCP introduces a patch that changes the manufacturing balance again, like they did with the tier3 BC hulls (which were mex-heavy).

Or CCP introduces something that lets you mine the lower-end ores faster.

In short there is a support level around 4.85. The rest 'could' (not def) be speculation. So on the basis of this info i would expect prices to stabilze around 5ish.

I doubt it will drop below 5 anytime soon. In a few weeks all drone drops will be removed, which make up for about a fifth of trit IIRC. And supposedly Inferno will revamp the PvP, causing more demand for ships. They're essentially increasing the demand while cutting the supply.

Sounds like a way to reduce the overall size of the ships being used in conflicts.
