What if we had the last clone available with only 150 mil SP (example)? We have players with 190mil SP, isn’t it too much?

At the current state of the game its impossible to implement such idea but in my opinion this should have been a good feature, that would create a limitation between the old timers and new players. In fact 150mil is at least 6 years of training and with that amount we can have a excellent character, why need more?

Dont rage, it's just food for thought. Blink

Why attempt to limit people arbitrarily?

there's a hard limit of how good you can be at any one thing. 150+ mil SP offers versatility, nothing more.

because after 6 years you can always improve current skill sets or diversify.

Also in place as skill training is aprt of what you pay for in this game. Thier money or isk to plex is jsut as good as a noobs.

And the new/old player divide....dead horse time but there is more to that divide from intangible actuall game playing skills than numbers on screen. I know bitters vets on feshly rolled cyno alts they give some guns and ammo who will hold there own against many opponents. the secret is the fact they have learned to fit and fly ships well...and over time learned how to counter ships. Vanilla rifter has been a fit around for years...one hopes you don't go all deer in the headlights and die like a muppet to them after seeing them for 6 years.

If this a subtle my clone is too expensive whine/troll....if your char is done train alts. Pick good alts and good for passive isk making from what I hear selling them.

Don't limit my sandbox

With that limitation we would need to choose very well what skills to train, that way we could have a lot of different characters. But yes, you guys are right, that feature is against the sandbox nature of the game.

There is only so many skill points a player can possibly use for a ship. A maxed out frigate pilot with 30 million in skill points soaked into his frigate is on the same level as a 150 million skill point veteran with 30 million in skills for the same frigate.

Young players owning the **** out of veterans happens every day.

Then 150 million sp would just be like level 80 in WoW, or whatever the level limit is. No thanks.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

Because you play the game for longer than 6 years ??? why should ppl that have invested the time and money in the game be limited to keep new players happy ?

Strange request
