This is wrong. This is completely wrong. Why this age discrimination?
Maybe this all concept of slavery is a bit alien for me, but as I understand it, it is a mere combination of property, management and leadership skills.
You can tell the same way, that people below 30 or 40 shouldn't be able to fly spaceships.
Or shouldn't be allowed to take head positions.
Or shouldn't have children.

This is simply wrong. No one was born equal, no one was born the same. One peoples are smart at very young age, others can't handle situations at proper age.

If you want to propose some limitations, please make them more reasonable,
for example,
"gallente shouldn't have slaves", or "gallente shouldn't fly spaceships", or "gallente shouldn't be allowed to take head positions", etc...

Or "people named Diana Kim shouldn't be allowed to open their mouth"...

You know, I'm actually inclined to agree with Morwen on this one.

Now that this thread has stayed far off topic, let's bring it back.
People under 30 years old should not have slaves.
People presently 30 years old should not have slaves.
People over 30 years old should not have slaves.

What's the not nice part? You can tell most Amarrians to be Amarrians by one glance on docksides, just like you can recognize most Sebs to be Sebs or Civire to be Civire. That's just how things are. Pretending something else would be just silly. Of course you have to understand that you can make a mistake and not presume without confirming in the case of an unknown individual, but beyond that, I do not really get what it "not nice" saying that a high-class Amarrian looks like a high-class Amarrian. Or are they so ashamed of being what they are that this is an insult?

(Maybe they should be. But somehow I don't think this is the case.)

If this is so obvious, then why stating it ?

Because of what you said, it did not seem to be obvious to you.

Personally, I never go anywhere without a full set of slaves. I believe, if you have the money, you should be able to afford the best implants available.

Ms. Louella Dougans, you are on the right track. Critical examination of issues, rather just accepting things as the way they are, will take you far in life. Even identifying such things as issues sets you ahead of the great majority of humans.

And straight back to the top of this feed. I realize that this makes me guilty of it albeit for other onlookers, too, but why must you people constantly remind me of this tripe?

I agree. How the obvious logic of this has not changed legal precedent and overthrown religeous zealots everywhere is absolutely beyond a rational mind's understanding.

Therein lies the answer to your question.

It's almost as though the logic that you're using is flawed.

Are you still jealous that all of the best ships and fashions come out of the federation and that the Moa hasn't won any beauty pagents lately?

In any case I cant really agree with the cocept of age limitations as every Amarrian man I see looks like they are older than 30, and I am not trying to be racist or anything, but we are going to be checking IDs of Khanid women all the time but never Amarrian men and that can't be fair. After all does the OP really thing old man Rodj should have slaves?

Hello!

So, I saw this thing the other day, it was a story about a woman and her slave, you know, the usual stuff, She's the fourth daughter of an important holder, he's her trusty slave, They Fight Crime, and so on.

And I thought, that really, she was far too young to be dealing with that sort of thing, because you know, the point of having a slave is that you are responsible for that person's physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.

It's not like they're those silly handbag slaver hounds, I mean, a slave person can live decades and stuff, so it is really a big responsibility.

So, I think that really, people under the age of I don't know, thirty or so, shouldn't really have slaves. Or if they do, they should only do it under supervision. Like parental supervision and stuff. Or in an academic situation, Like at university or finishing school, where people can be taught to look after their slaves properly and stuff.

Because like, I see stuff with children of Holders having a slave do silly things like holding umbrellas and so on, and I'm like, you are too young to be responsible for another person, you silly child.

And like, I'm 21 and can see this sort of thing, so how come older, wiser people haven't seen it too ?

Cos even though the Empress said stuff about things, you know, it's not like the sun goes down, the sun goes up, everything's different today. Stuff takes Time.

Or maybe 40. Maybe 30 is still too young. I don't know. Probably some dudes from Hedion University would know more.

Disgraceful. As a graduate of the Imperial Academy, I would have hoped you would understand the importance of slavery to the salvation of the Minmatar people. Without it, they will suffer eternal damnation. As an Amarrian, it is our sacred duty to guide - forcibly at times yes - these lesser beings onto the one true path.

If you were my duaghter I would public disown you.

Suffering eternal damnation sounds pretty great to me right about now.
