What happens to POS if corp who ancjhored it gets dissolved? It just vanishes, floats in space or gets "tranfered" to a new corp with last remaining member? Probably dumb question Big smile

I'm guessing it simply offlines and unanchors itself, though you'll have to get a definite answer from someone who has gone through this.

I would guess that it just stays there, anchored and in space.

I'm betting against this, since it would cause hisec to be littered with POSes belonging to non-existent corps. You can't shoot them because CONCORD, you can't wardec them because no corp.

If that is actually the case, it wouldn't surprise me considering all the other quirks POSes have.

Hello Hunting Yojik,

The POS will stay in space under the closed corporation's ownership.

If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask or mail me.

... can you wardec a closed corporation?

I don't see why not. From the game's standpoint, it's still a corp just like any other (unless they did something really crazy with their corp objects for no real reason). It just happens to have the (CLOSED) flag on it because Members == 0 (crap, I tried to put a semi-colon after the 0, too much coding last night, lol).

You cannot wardec a closed corporation. You can file a petition to have a GM remove the POS as you cannot war dec it or attack it.

Thank you for reply! So if I that happens - the POS is just lost, right? Or it can be recovered via in-game means Lol. Just curious what would happened if I done so

As far as I know it would be "lost".

If you are the owner from the closed corp you might be able to petition the GMs to give it back to you but as I am not a GM I cannot say with any accuracy if that is true or not. You would need to file a petition and ask the GMs that specific question on recovering it in-game if you did it as i do not know the answer to it.

Wait 30 days to be told "no".

And boom goes the dynamite.
