Why the frack does my launcher not update the game?

Ever since the introduction of the launcher I have had to go through a crap load of ... problems to get my game updated.

The launcher usually gets stuck at 15% or 25% of getting the patch, also rendering the repair-tool unusable.
So ...

Yea, lots of fun downloading the off-line installer to get the game going again.

What's the version of your launcher? My launcher didn't update properly in the beginning, so I removed the whole "Launcher" sub directory in my installation directory and then ran repair.exe to get the (almost) latest version. Next start it updated and since then I'm no longer having any issues. Also, esp. if your PC isn't state-of-the-art, give the patcher some time, it might take a while to analyze all files and obtain the correct files or file lists.

My Launcher is from the previous download from the page: http://community.eveonline.com/download/?fallback=1

Prior to each time I've downloaded the game from that page I've uninstalled the "old" version and run a system-clean to make sure no old code is still messing with my system.

There are plenty of discussions about the Launcher and how to fix issues in the Issues, Workarounds & Localization forum... you might have better luck reading there.
