Why do people capitalize EVE?

Actually, the constellation that the EVE Gate (collapsed wormhole through which humans arrived in New Eden) arrived through is called "EVE", capitalized like that. Lorewise the name comes from some weird inscriptions or something that the Amarr found when recolonizing Genesis or something.

If
PVP = Player vs Player
and
PVE = Player vs Environment
then
EVE = Environment vs Environment

Which is why there are so many people botting. It's in the title.

For some reason long ago I always saw it typed out as "EvE" so I started doing it that way too. I think it had something to do with how it looked prior to the logo change several years back.

What I want to know is how you do "≡v≡" without copy and pasting it from someone else? I assume ASCII is used for the "≡" but which ASCII code is it?

EDIT: It seems that ≡ is 240 in ASCII. ≡v≡
