DUST on the PC? It's gonna happen!

I would have bought a 360 to play dust. I refuse to buy a PS3 to play it. I will stick to shooting at the dusties from orbit. With luck CCP will insert a mechanic to allow me to deorbit a dominix on them.

Also, Console FPS is for casuals TwistedTwistedTwisted

Google top selling games... or games sales numbers by genre. PC games is the sims, wow, starcraft 1. Consoles I believe is MW2/3/blops, Halo series. Then take into account that those pc games have been selling for years and years now. (half-life 1 and 2)

But once again who the **** cares? Unless this is tied to some sort of hobby validation. (Coming from a guy who plays a lot of shooters on the PC, and did upgrade to play BF3) What does it matter? You have to had known that consoles were out selling PC's which was the reasoning behind the whole "PC gaming is dead...blah blah" And that less and less people were developing for the PC, AND !!! SO MANY CONSOLE PORTS!

Edit: HOLY **** LOOK AT WII SALES... Nintendo made "**** you money" off one game alone... 76 million sales. Shocked


Analyze that more closely and you will see that a total of around 15 million copies sold for MW2 on consoles according to that list. Yet, you cannot even see how many copies of it sold for PC.

If more people bought it on consoles, the direct conclusion you can draw is that significantly more people would be playing on consoles then on PC. I mean seriously, the lowest number on the PC list there is 5 million and MW2 doesn't show up. Which means that at least 3 times those copies were purchased on consoles.

Because of this, you can draw a direct conclusion that more people are playing on consoles then there are on PC.

It's just a fact bro, no need to get so upset over it. No one cares.

In addition, PC gaming is far from dead. It's still the only platform you can play a decent RTS on, :)

I have a PS3 and I'm looking forward to playing Dust. I don't have a PC so I don't give a crap, Games on PC are usually crap compared to a PS3 anyway.

btw Zofe, that makes absolutely no sense. PS3 is cheaper then Xbox AND it has more exclusives then it ten-fold. Anyways, one thing I can be assured if is that Dust is NEVER coming to Xbox. Sony has literally removed entire policies in order to allow Dust to work. Which Microsoft, being the greedy money grubbing company it is, would never do.

It's why I refuse to buy an Xbox, the fact that they charge anything just so I can play my games online is completely ridiculous.

That deorbit idea would be amazing though... a tad bit money wasting but f***ing awesome to watch!

I'm looking forward to Dust especially as I'm not going to have to pay a sub. My pc has enough dust on it at the moment Oops

Anyway, Dust is not the same as other console shooters. Dust is free (with cash shop) and will be continuously updated, even after years. It will be playable on the next playstation aswell (CCP was very adamant about this and Sony will not be making the mistake of not giving the PS4 backwards compatability).

It will eventually come to the PC, just not yet. CCP'ers have hinted at this multiple times, however overtly - Don't start celebrating, but a PC version is very likely to come at some point.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

I didn't say it wasn't going to come to PC at some point, I said that it was a good marketing decision, which it still is.

BECAUSE SHOOTERS ARE PRIMARILY PLAYED ON CONSOLES!

Most people are only going to gauge it at face value. Shooters are a dime a dozen, and many people think they know what they're going to be getting. They may be wrong in this case, but I'm tired of people acting like that statement I made isn't true.
