Details for the mass test on Thursday [April 12]

How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Follow the steps at http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Singularity.

What exactly is being tested?

  • Changes for Escalation (for example code improvements to crimewatch)
  • Client performance
  • Client stability


What will be the test steps?

  1. Meet in Reblier (low sec, you can stay docked)
  2. Undock and warp to a moon with a starbase
  3. Shoot the control tower
  4. Jump to 6-CZ49
  5. Fleet W: Jump to EZA-FM and prepare a gate-camp
  6. Fleet X: Warp to the EZA-FM stargate
  7. Fleet X: Jump to EZA-FM, FIGHT
  8. Warp to planet 1
  9. Shoot some NPCs


What do I need to do exactly?

  • Try running LogServer (in server mode), read here if you're not sure how.
  • Join the channel "MassTesting"
  • You will want to bring a medium-range PVP ship (for the fleet-fight and shooting a POS), we will provide cynos for capitals


What else should I know?

  • You can get information updates by subscribing to the "Mass Testing Info" mailing list on TQ!
  • CCP staff and ISD will be on hand prior to the test to help move players to the starting location.
  • Don't forget to fill out the feedback thread after the test, the link will be posted during the test.
  • All participants of the mass test will get 2 million free skillpoints on Singularity as small reward

AttentionQuestion You know the main issue is for people on MACS no 1 seems to even care 1 bit and its been posted that CCP will do something.
How funny it has been they will be loosing alot of people because of there lack of trying to fix the issues they say. MY friend who has been playing over 4 yrs is quiting because of nothing being done and this TICKS ME OFF Evil IF they cannot help them then what happens to the linux and heavens forbid the regular one then what NO EVE > THink of what i said would you like to loose 1000's of people? Or what is your plan to fix it and when? Also you might want to worry about an invasion into Jove area we might mass there and find away to get in and blow you up THink about that as its being planned now. Not as a threat But as Insurance by many whom are willing to get things done even if it cost us trillions I know this will happen I have been listening to it for months. Its just a matter of time.Thats what i was told Shocked

So this 2mil skill points... does that mean on the main server we will also get 2mil SP or just in the Test Server? <- newbie talking.

As nice as it is to get SP's are..having them on a test server im almost never there..wouldnt help me really..thanks though

when i read about the testing i was all gung ho about it,
was a front page info from the login screen,
and i get some reward as well double cool,

buutt,,,

the skill points only work for this test server ?
whats the point in that,
i thought the entire point of eve, was to have ONE server,

thats like giving me money as a gift card that only works at a flower shop.

who the hell cares if i have a billion dollars that are only good in a flower shop in Antarctica where only 4 people live?


ps, thats 12 noon tomorrow for me here in CA usa rite ?



also, every item on the test servers only cost 100 isk, great of you want to play with some costly ships

which leads me to one more thing,,, if everything is free, why do we still need sp ??
youd let me buy a titan for 100 isk, but i still cant fly the thing..... that hurts.....
