Because people hide behind alts, so their main don't get ridiculed or punished or whatever.

Imagine that ... being anonymous on the internet, but still hiding ...

or so the ppl on the forums cant rebuke the argument and take in into game, punishing the character/corp/alliance for what he said out of game

(kinda sounds familiar really)

In other words a player can shoot their mouth off and not have to face the consequences of their actions. Case in point: The quote in the OP was directed at an alt who is calling out pvp'rs and calling them losers, and yet he hides behind anonymity while doing so. Do you see the irony in such an action?

No. What I see is common sense.

I'm guessing that's nowhere near as pathetic as a coward NPC alt ****-poasting this rubbish.

An Internet game where nearly everyone is using some kind of pseudonym, and this makes a difference how?

It's the frustrated and mental week guys usually scamming, ganking, grieffing, concord exploiting, game rules abusing and most often boting, that use this kind of stuff.

Because they're too internet serious and really believe they exist in the matrix, that their name or their tag has whatever meaning.

Eve Online is not like (most) other MMO's as everyone is on a single server, and the server has very loose rules considering PvP compared to other MMO's.

This means you got to guard your rep, and not **** off to many people, because they will chase you and lock you down if you **** m off hard enough.

With that in mand, people making alts to ridicule others is a normal practise, hoping to make the main look like a fool with the response, while their main is safe. It's all part of war & PvP.

this is actually my main i guess. Have yet to find a normal person or persons to play eve with so i play solo. Have an alt in a corp but the people there are crazy, mean, elite and bitter.

In before post with your main...

Oh wait.

I post with a grey face to annoy people, not like "masternerdguy" who desires to draw attention because it gives him an erection. Generally if they get riled up over it, my point comes across and they wish to strike back but can't...further annoying them. Try not to go like MNguy, Mitty, or other dudes that like to get attention, I try to draw attention away by inserting a joke at their expense Twisted

Nothing wrong with a alt of an alt pretending to be another alt, it worked for Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder and going tripple down from RL worked in Inception Big smile.

I don't have a problem.

I think it's funny that people care THAT much about their internet, fake, pseudo self that they hide behind a second fake self to protect it.

It's kind of sad that many people who play EVE care that much about a video game that they are afraid to share their own opinion from their main fake self.
