Has I said I don't know that much about them other than the ridiculous amounts of EHP and Warfare immune is the big part of the equation, the numbers is just a matter of perception.

You can see smaller ship types numbers (drake blobs?) being countered by smart choices other than bring 200 supers on them.

Take away the immune warfare reduce EHP by a lot, set more conditions for bombers use and you'll see less of them.

Seems not very difficult to understand there is some problem does it?
Now your perception is sure different than mine but it just my opinion, I'm not trying to convince you or someone else that my point is the only way to go. By the way you haven't even shared your opinion.

…that's because the Drake isn't overpowered. You're not exactly disproving his point here.

Proteus
remove the trimark rigs and use ccc rigs and you can make it cap stable. Also 4 heavy drones isn't too bad.
pity it can't use 4 heavy drones and a covert cloak. it'd make a nice heavy Arazu.

I usually use an ab or mwd on my proteus. It has a 15% bonus to cap usage for those anyway.
Reminds me of a Deimos. Some would say thats not really a good thing.

Cloaking is over powered. I think they should put a cooldown timer on it or something. If you use it for 10-15 minutes, then it turns off, and have to wait 1-2 minutes before you can turn it on again.
So you can't just sit cloaked all the time.

I'm not trying to disprove anything because somehow he's right, my example it's just an example where numbers aren't the main factor because you can choose different tactics with different ship types, OC you can bring 200drakes to counter 50 drakes but it's one of the possible choices.

Sigh. It's not the cloak that's overpowered, it's the perfect-intel local that's overpowered.

FOTM means metagame and it certainly exists in Eve. All games have a metagame.

Would you consider docking overpowered for exactly the same reasons that you consider cloaking overpowered ?

Projectiles - if a type of guns is not only the best on its own races ships but on any other races ship that doesn't have a damage/ROF bonus for the races own guns, it's pretty obvious.

Cloaking is actually one of the things in EVE that actually works as intended, The problem with cloaking lies with cloaking and local as in cloaking works perfectly but mixed with instant-intel local becomes overpowered.

Oh I thought people warped to a safe spot and cloak when you enter system. and they go back to whatever they were doing when you leave.

I was just suggesting it to stop that sort of thing.
The local intel thing wasn't even on my mind... I thought everyone had agreed that local should have a delay of a few minutes in null.
You want people in null to be crazily pressing dscan every few seconds like the poor saps in wh?
I think it'd just increase the number of people sitting on gates watching if anyone enters.
and would increase the usage of black ops, recons and covert ops a little bit at least without local.

Not every place in null has somewhere you can dock.

15minutes is kinda long.. not long enough? maybe I should have said an hour.
so people can't do it all day ...

What if there is a counter, but at a larger cost?

Let's say, for the sake of the example, that I'd be pretty confident to engage a Dramiel with most of not all recons, however that would cost some 2.5x-3x more.

In other words, maybe the cost of the counter is the key, even with different ships and same numbers.

This is interesting. In this case, I'm more inclined to think of projectiles simply as good or even best, not overpowered.

Now, if on all ships with bonuses to racial turrets the projectiles were better than the said racial turrets, then I'd say they may be a little too good.

Sensor Boosters

They are used on just about every ship out there.
They change the dynamics between the ship classes, entirely too much.
They should have a serious stacking penalty for any except those they were designed for.

Change that and see how the rest falls, as people adapt.

You pretty much just answered your own question there, if a subset were using them to great effect then yes but as you say nearly everyone is using them so it balances out.
