Random thoughts of NEW SHIPS and MODULES for CCP

Totally random thoughts here, but I felt they might be worth sharing under the "off the wall" ideas for CCP

Strategic Battleships
-Same concept as strategic cruisers... except the configurations would be focused more towards pawning caps

Anti-blob Dreads
-New dreads that have 8 high slots, but can only fit large turrets. Give them the 100% turret damage bonus, and let them be effective against large BS fleets
-Crazy idea here, but how about a dread with 16 high slots, and can only fit medium/small turrets with tracking/range bonuses. I call this concept the anti-fighter/drone beast. Would work great with some of the new modules listed below. I imagine it would need some "speed" to place itself in the middle of the action. I understand this will create havoc with the current fitting window, but like I said... these are crazy ideas here

Racial Mining Ships
-Isn't it time for new hulls here? racial mining ships allows for specific mining types/styles, and bonuses for specific ores. Allow 6 strips/harvesters (or racial dependent)
-Configurable mining ships... I'm talking subsystems here. Allows players more levels of creation here

New Module Ideas
-Proximity Webifier. For use on anti-fighter/drone dread or whatever. Basically will web any fighter/drone within a set distance from your ship
-"Fire at will" module. For use with 16 turret dreads where all turrets will independently target and take down drones/fighters within a certain proximity
-Remote Ship Link. So this one's crazy. How about the idea of a module pair where you fit a transmitter on one ship, and a receiver on another, allowing one pilot to fly two ships on a grid at the same time. It will follow you around and follow warp/jump commands. This may require a new interface/HUD to be developed to display remote ship commands and status, but its an idea nonetheless

POS Look
-How about making these more module like, where the arrays are actually connected/touching somehow... make these look more like actual stations, rather than a bunch of floating junk

Customizable ship Skins
-This is way overdue. I can pick what kind of panties my character has, but I can paint my ships different colors. There's lots of personalization potential here. One of the great things about EVE is the freedom... players will lo

I tend to dislike anti-cap ships - not because I like capitals, but because they'll never be where they're theoretically "good". Making them mostly useless. And any anti-capital dread with enough firepower to pose a meaningful threat to a supercap will just utterly annihilate normal caps.

Most I can see them doing is new mining ships, but racial mining ships doubt it unless were talking non racial and ore specific type ships.

I think with dread changes they can be anti cap... Rather people need to start figuring out better ways to use them as such. So need to have ways to make sniping viable... Because a few groups of sniping dreads against SC's could be a real problem if you didn't get probed out and bubbled in 20 seconds.

Honestly they need to have dreads better fill the anti cap role than a newer ship or some BS. As far as anti blob goes... people really hate AOE weapons in this game aside from Smart bombs.

Then again the AOE weapons in this game have always done massive damage. Perhaps we need a missile that does AOE damage, but less damage than a direct target one does. Might break up fleets into small groups to spread out. Then again it's not as if damage is based upon direction so maybe not.
