Bounty hunting system

Its broken and lame

New system that id like.

Positive sec status increased to +10. (easier to lose sec status when at high plus status)

players above + 5 can work for concord.

Arrow They get a on the move mobile locater agent, that can be used while in space. (this agent lists online people with bounty, ad can only find those players)

Arrow Can use bounty points to gain concord ships and mods. (not god items as powerful as navy ships and mods)

Arrow If some one has a 10 bill bounty and a bounty hunter kills the target.. the only gain isk = to the value of the ship they destroyed plus some bounty points. bounty are only collectable by + 5 status players (who have used their concord agent to take the job of tracking and killing the player.

Arrow people will be more likley to place bountys, as they know it wont be claimed by the pirates freinds or alts.

Arrow new skills can be added for bounty tracking / flying concord ships.

While I agree a bounty hunting system would be rather awesome...you're idea of +5 status players being the only ones who can do the bounty hunting is stupid. There is no reason those of us with negative security status shouldn't be able to do it too.

edit: and by the way...your characters face looks stupid.

The only problem with bounty hunting is that its basically a bank. Anyone can add a bounty on to your alt and the isk stays there until you collect it. Edit: They should rename it to "publicly displayed bank balance".

There is basically no way you can have a working bounty hunting system while alts are such a normal thing for players to have. Unless you can select which players can/can't collect the bounty that you place on someone.

Edit: Eg. Even if you could say no-one in their corp can collect. They'd more than likely have an alt in another corp/npc which would collect the bounty.

A bounty system cannot ever work in a system where players can control more than one character. Its a true catch 22.

For PvP and like to encourage more of it?

Want to validate a potential Career path in ≡v≡ with new income potential that is ideally designed as simply a transferance of ISK from one pilot to another?

Actually like situations where ships shoot back and "really" improve your KB resume?

You agree that pilots should adapt to challenging situations in ≡v≡ where acceptance of risk is an everyday seperator of those getting ahead on the curve?

Or simply want to make ≡v≡ less boring?

The only way I see it being fixed is as a bolt on to the new merc contracts that were discussed in this years key not speech at fanfest. IE you could setup a contract with a bonus 'bounty' for specified pod kills, claimable only by individuals/corps that the job is contracted out to. Otherwise, youll never overcome the issue of using alsts to claim your own bounty.
