Starting to have some extra isk savings...what to do now?

So, I recently started this alt account to do something with my isk savings from my main character.

He's pretty new also, a total of 11m skill points on my main and well you can see, less than 1m on this guy.

I'm recently back to the game and after settling back in I have a couple billion isk saved up and want to start doing something constructive with it. I've mostly been running missions, scanning down some complexes and running DED spaces.

I've been reading the forums and looking over some guides, but it's time I ask the community.

Do you have any suggestions on what to get into with this character to make more isk, or experience another part of the game?

Do you remember any amazing blogs or guides or articles that inspired you? mind sharing the links here?

I thought about market hub trading but I'm not sure if 2B is really enough to play that game without getting eaten alive.

thanks again and I look forward to reading your suggestions.

Easy answer:

Your ISK. Gif Me! NAO! You know you want to!

The power of Blag compels you ! The power of Blag compels you ! The power of Blag compels you !!!

All you ISK Yarr! belong to us!!

ummm and stuffz.

Highsec isn't "Safe".  Neither is it a playground for bullies and bottomfeeders. So stop complaining and start playing the game already.

How about you send me up to one billion isk and I'll double it, no scam.

I'm still kind of a newbie, but to start trying to support myself, I've gotten into manufacturing. I tried trading for a little bit, and that can be quite profitable as well, but manufacturing is a little more my style. Since it seems like your main is more combat oriented, have this character be on the industry side of things. You already got a whole bunch of isk, so have it work for you to make you even more isk.

edit: here is a guide I was reading about different areas of eve. You might have already seen it, I dunno:

I started "serious trading" with 2 bil cash, but by then I already had some trading experience.

If you don't have any trading experience yet, I'd suggest using a lot smaller sum first, just in case you do some mistake and lose it all.

2B is more than enough to start serious trading.

I started months ago with 5 millions. In 2 or 3 weeks I had over a billion.

But personal advice: if you dont played a lot on the market, invest smaller amount first, may be 100m, invest what you are confortable with it and what you can afford to lose. Play with it, observe... As a new trader you'll lose some money for sure.

The only recommendation I'd make - is to keep in mind that a billion isk ... actually isn't all that much money ... you could easily spend it all on one ship ... get blown up - and have nothing.

Just saying ...

As for trading - start really small. Like 1 million - then make that into something else. If you had a corporation, you could have a second wallet - and only use the limited funds you have in that wallet - until you know what you're doing.

Other wise ... A Billion ISK? - POOF! and it's gone ...

Get into PVP. A Billion ISK will buy a lot of frigates ... Start off in Frigates and stay there until you really know what you're doing 'cause ... well ... I don't really need to say it again do I?
