Modification of PI Function to show other players facilities

OK ... I find it hard to believe this hasn't been raised but a quick look didn't find anything.

As I understand it - if to many people have their extractor heads in the same place - they reduce the resources there quickly.

As I see it - there are currently several things wrong with the way the function works to show other players facilities on a Planet:


1) The little dot it shows you for their control center is very difficult to see. If you don't run the scanning slider all the way to one side so that as much of the planet as possible is white - you'll probably never find most of them. What is needed is for the other players structures to be clearly seen.

2) When you click on someone's control center - it will display their structures but if you click on someone elses control center - the first guys will go away. What is needed - is for ALL the other players structures to appear and STAY displayed.

3) Even for those structures that are displayed - I have never seen Extractor Heads. Now - it could be that they are displayed - but I doubt it. What is needed - is for the Extractor heads to be displayed - as that is the most important bit of information about the other players structures - where has he put his extractor heads? What is needed is for these heads to be shown so someone else can try to avoid them if they are already there.

4) Given the number of people who have created and abandoned PI colonies - it would really help if there were some way to tell if the facilities were active - or the last time they had been active. What is needed is information in the show info for a control center - not on just the player owning it - but on that control center itself - saying when it was last active or if it is currently active. This would let another player know if he could over lay another players extractor heads without rapidly depleting the resources there.

5) Lastly - given the likely number of abandoned PI facilities - as with deployed Giant Secure Containers - there should be a time limit on how long they can remain idle. If they are idle for to long - they should go away. Now - given the amount of ISK invested in creating a colony ... it should be a good bit longer than that for GSC's. At least several months, somewhere between 6 - 12 is what I'm thinking but some other figure might be used.

Well ... it's the extractor heads I'm really interested in ...

Of course ... I can see where mine might look like a phallus too ...
