Spot on the money.

I started PvPing when I had 3 or 4 mill SP, I got 60-something now. I was better then than now because I played more.

However back then I was bothered about killboard nonsense, not really efficiency but just stats.

Now I don't even bother looking at killmails unless there was something odd about the fight. I don't post any of them unless I'm flying with a gang and some of them got on the kill.

I find I have more fun not bothering about kill/lossmails. YMMV.

As long as I enjoy the fight and it gets the adrenaline pumping who cares?

The only thing I like about killmails is seeing opponents fits and working out tactics for next time etc.

The real problem with this isn't really an ideological one, but a technical one.

Yes, if we could have a magic number on every killmail that measures a combination of isk efficiency, skill efficiency, combat time, combat participants, and the relative ratios for each side, then that would be swell and I'd advocate sticking it up everywhere.

Unfortunately, the outcome of a battle usually comes down to a lot more information than can fit on a killmail, and evaluating that information is beyond the scope of the kind of simple php scripts you encounter on killboards.

the sad thing is OP has some decent ideas and has the right idea
atm killboards are stupid and just an epeen billboard.

every kill should be worth points depending on the ship and module type ( faction worth more then t2 ect)
suicide ganking should show up with the loss of your ship, not just the kills you get with it.
wardeccing in highsec should be worth less points then fighting anywhere else, most people don't normally fight thus easy prey
if you have 1000 people on the km attacking 1 target the point should be split between the 1000 people
WH kills should be worth the most.
if its a massive site like battle clinic there should be a section for people to look at lolfit losses.

Oh yes, you caught me scouting and or making bookmarks. You remember bookmarking gates don't you? Guess not.

It's not. We're just mocking him for being butthurt about killboard stats. If he feels like implementing it himself, or convinces someone to implement it, then props to him.

Killboards are 3rd party tools. Nobody has to use any sort of killboard, or killboard mod, or whatever. If he can convince eve-kill.net to use something like this, good, but I don't think they will.

I say that anytime somone gets their ship blown up thier score is reset to 0
