I have no doubt that the faction ships are amongst the most attractive ships to players. I always thought about introducing a ship for every class and every faction, this would mean:

Sansha, Blood Raiders, Guristas, Angel, etc.. Battlecruisers, Cruisers, Frigates, Battleships, Destroyers, Industrial Ships and of course Capital Ships.

Also adding faction specific skills such as Sansha Battlecruiser, Sansha Cruiser, Blood Raiders Frigate and the like.

And of course adding faction clothes/backgrounds/captain quarters. This might come in the future, but I just wanted to point that out. Faction stuff is really really interesting and atractive. CCP improved the Sansha Experience, but it is insufficient and there are other factions that need more love and lore as well.

And last but not least, adding the possibility to apply and join faction corps (or letting corps apply to factions directly such as Angel Cartel), and support Sansha in Incursions (to put an expample) would be also quite awesome.

I think most people would enjoy fleshing out the npc factions a little more, but I'm not sure you have a grasp on how this would be done, and why its difficult:

Firstly, there's the difference between frigates, destroyers, cruisers, battlecruisers, and battleships

The price differences are based on the mineral costs that go into them, and thats pretty much it.

Contrast that to the price of faction ships, and their prices basically scale with how often their bpc's drop, plus a little bit in minerals.

The costs are entirely based on supply and demand in one specific instance, rather than an overbearing inherent mineral cost.

For example, someone selling abaddons will not price their abaddon lower than the cost of the minerals going into the hull. There is a base intrinsic value associated with it.

Take a phantasm however, and its price is essentially tied to how many blueprints there are out there. It is entirely feasable that someone with a supply of bpc's could sell them for whatever they want and still make profit.

I think you would find that pirate faction/cruiser prices would drop significantly if their destroyer/battlecruiser counterparts came out.

But more importantly, they would need a new ROLE. A sansha battlecruiser would just be a souped up phantasm? Have one extra gun? Be even slower? Or if you put it on the same scale of t1 cruisers vs faction cruisers, a faction battlecruiser would severely un-balance an already OP class (battlecruisers)
