I was about to say some pretty terrible distasteful things, but I read a few replies down and saw that you learnt your lesson and genuinely didn't know better.

That said, HTFU with your new-found knowledge and come back to the game so there are more things to shoot at in space.

Actually in your OP you state the game is slanted towards griefers, and that they are exploiting the code. In actual fact in the game has gotten far safer for Hi sec people, look for the "Boomerang" threat that is in this forum. CCP are more and more making it harder to grief, RR alts are up next as well as sweeping changes to the aggression system. When buying high value stuff, trust me, ask people.

From now on. Errytime i load the forums i will wear a helmet thinking there will be someone threatening people with boomerangs upon entering.

Beware of the boomerang threat in this forums.

You have to be absolutely mentally challenged to die while piloting a covops in high/lowsec. And I say mentally challenged only because of the word filter.

Why were you hauling a half billion isk item to your buddy in a frigate? Why not a Hurricane (which you can fly, according to your lossmails) or having him come to you in a shuttle?

edit: and yeah, losing a covops to a ganker means you weren't paying attention. Please don't tell me you were on autopilot.

Hey,

I finally decided to rejoin the EVE community after a year hiatus, the idea of bombing people from space in dust was pretty appealing. So my friend and I reactivated our accounts and with the 3 billion or so isk we had we had I went and bought 2 plex in jita. I used one myself and undocked to deliver the other one to my friend. Probably some of you are already snickering. I was instantly popped upon leaving the station before even having time to react. I'm not here to qq, I believe that games are just code which set rules on play, players will exploit the code for the most gain possible. However, the game seems to be, if anything, more slanted toward griefing then ever. I don't remember being instapoped very often in jita. Unfair pvp matches aren't really enjoyable experiences, when you lose because the load screen takes too long and you can't align because some big ass tug boat is bumping you, you don't think to yourself 'man, I ****** up' you think, 'the mechanics in this game suck.' Needless to say, we decided to just let his time for plex timer expire and go play starcraft.

So with that, I bid you ado. Perhaps in another few years I'll try again, good luck and fly safe.

Jita has more ship kills than any other system and you undocked with a free subscription. What did you think would happen? Why didn't you just trade or contract it to your friend?

Edit: Wait, you did this in an autopiloting frig?! On top of that it was a covops? You're right. Go ahead and quit. This is really, REALLY not the game for you.

If not troll/fake. GTFO idiot

So you read the whole thing to confirm if troll or not, but still couldn't figure it out in the end.

Sadly, you're right and I look like a buffoon. On the one hand, OP to me seems stupid(almost as much as me), on the other posting it to C&P screams troll.

Not trying to troll, I had no idea you could remote activate plex. That probably would have helped. Clearly i'm a noob, but you don't need to get up in arms about it. I didn't suggest any changes to the game, I didn't say this was imbalanced. I just said that I personally don't like the game mechanics, because I felt that in this case avoiding death was impossible.

This is EVE.
You are never safe.
EVER

Here is what you should do...
Go find your n00b agent and do those missions, then, go do the Level 1 Sisters Of Eve Epic Arc.
Just use a thrasher

You will then be up to date on current mechanics.

I understand that you have used a plex, so, you can just use your main. However, I would suggest that you and your friend create trail accounts, and transfer 50 mill isk to each. Then just start over.

Just do not join a corp without checking their killboards.

You do realize the "boomerang" threat didn't exist until recently, when Tier 3 BCs made such tactics possible? And even discounting the gankage love that is the Tier 3s, you still have some significant boosts to Thrashers and other destroyers.

I'd say CCP is opening the door to a lot more griefing possibilities, and are just trying to make sure it doesn't get out of hand. Making sure a single Tornado and an Orca alt can't single-handedly gank a freighter in high sec does not mean CCP is making things safer.

They could before, now they can't. CCP has made highsec safer.

Internet Lawyered! Lol

Basically what this guy said, the trick was always there. T3 bc's just made it more prevalent.

Basically what this guy said, the trick was always there. T3 bc's just made it more prevalent.

The tier 3 BC's made it more prevalent because they made it feasible. Before they were introduced the range of targets that could be destroyed with this technique was much more limited. The Tornado, Talos, and Oracle particularly have the highest gank for their high agility, which is just enough to evade CONCORD entirely in 0.6 sec systems and possibly higher if one doesn't engage any targets past the initial.

The boomerang maneuver is allowed by current CONCORD mechanics, but CCP didn't deem this a problem because the damage that could be done was rather limited in scope. The feasibility of the maneuver is an unforeseen consequence of the introduction of the new battlecruisers. CCP has therefore been forced to reevaluate CONCORD mechanics. Unfortunately it takes some time for code to catch up with demand (developers have to decide on an implementation, new code has to be written and then tested) so in the interim rules have been revisited as a sort of stopgap measure.

Basically what I'm trying to say that this behavior isn't new for CCP. CCP never intended for this to happen in highsec, so changing the rules to reflect new circumstances as a result of content additions shouldn't be terribly surprising.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Let's make something positive of this thread.....

how would it be possible to have something in my cargo that is "rename-able" so that it looks like a PLEX to a cargo scanner?

Just asking for academic reasons. Cool

It would have to be a ship or shipping container. Ship wise, amarr vessels are the right colour, but it would be hard to replicate the image as it has a glaring PLEX on it. A shipping container on the other hand, renamed to something conspicuous like "market fund" could be sufficient bait?

This fool wasn't even in jita. He came here with tears and tried to tell a story and was revealed as a liar.

Being a liar is your only redeeming quality but you should still never ever play this game again because stupidity and liar don't go together.
