Drake Is Balanced, Don't Nerf It

The drake has a nice tank. I'll give you that. However, it's offensive capabilities are less than spectacular. This seemed to be fair, since you can soak up a fair bit of damage but not dish as much out.

However, the CCP conspiracy to remove caldari from the game continues. The caldari have few good ships, and the drake is one of them (and it isn't even THAT good compared to the other BCs in the game). The falcon was our only really good one, and you decided it was grossly overpowered and nerfed it.

If you nerf the drake in the way you propose it will lose its ability to do level 4 missions. It will be unable to solo pvp effectively, and HAM drake gangs will be a joke. But if you want to make only 3 races worth flying, go ahead.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

How original ... but I heard they are buffing the drake.

That's not a buff. A buff would be giving it more damage without hurting the tank.

There was this guy i knew years ago who used to brag about being able to solo L4s in a Vagabond, but it took him hours to do one mission.

You're better off blitzing dozens of L3s for better isk/hour if you lack good DPS.

Why did you have to begin a new thread just for that?

By the way I think Gallente have a even worse deal than Caldari.

At the end of the day, the Drake's shield resistance bonus results in it being over-tanked for it's ship class and in combat.

Caldari ships in general lack offensive capability in PvP, so it makes sense to swap the Shield Resistance bonus for a Missile Velocity bonus to boost offense.

All I do all day is PvP in my drake. I can not wait for CCP to buff them.

You should train "Reading" at least at 4.

It's a buff, you don't like it it's another discussion but it's a hell of a buff.

It has a BS class tank, thats called overpowered, not 'nice'.

See but it does have spectacular offensive capabilities, people just think in the narrow terms of raw dps. The Drake has capless weapons with 80km range and no tracking issues, thats pretty damn nice. If it had more dps the Drake would be total lolOP (more than it is now).

100K EHP drake has the lowest (real-world) damage output of any BC, and in order to increase DPS they have to sacrifice tank. So I think it's OK the way it is now.

But it's also OK the way they want it to be.
