Ok - the Exequror Navy Issue is an enigma to me. Yes - its fast. About 80m/s faster than a thorax - on par with the stabber.

It can get the same DPS as the thorax with light drones, but not with mediums. But otherwise, the ship is completely outclassed by the Thorax that is much much cheaper. What gives?

I'm looking for some good uses for this thing. Is it just meant to be nano-pimped out and flown like a skirmish vessel? I don't see any other use for it but the 'more expensive but less ability thorax' just because you can...

The Exequror Navy issue can fit medium Neutron blasters while having a mediocre armor tank... the Thorax cannot. Using a shield-gank fit the Thorax and Exequror Navy are about the same.

Unlike the Thorax... the Exequror Navy is vastly underestimated and will be attacked by pretty much anything.

How did you Veterans start?

The Tier 1 Faction Cruisers are not that good TBH. Once you get over the whole underestimate them thing they are just weak ships with poor stats and fitting.

With the removal of the Tier Systems the addition of a proper Faction Cruiser Base Tank and fitting / Slots to support it will make these craft somewhere in the area of dangerous.

I hope they are revamped as faction logi personally. Being unsuited for Fleets with a larger Sig, Faction buffer not based around resists and the inability to fit large reps but effective in small gang scenario's

Osprey Navy Issue, Scythe Fleet Issue (spelling?), ENI, and Navy Aurogar are all in need for some love. With teiricide may they become better ships.


Also, where is the navy moa/throax? Sad

As cool as I think that would be, we don't need any reason for people to fly more BCs.

And like Super Chair said - I'm looking forward to the tier rebalancing for cruisers and the T1 BC.

I like mine a lot to be honest, just take it down to Electrons. Slap on a 1600mm and its actually not bad.

If you go for equal tank between the Thorax and the ENI the ENI actually do a little more DPS then the Thorax.

Add that to the fact almost anyone will shoot at it without hesitation.

I agree the Osprey Navy Issue and Scythe Fleet Issue are total ****. No matter how much you are willing to spend or no matter how creative you get there is nothing you can do with these.

But the Augoror Navy Issue, cruiser with a 100k tank without Slaves or Fleet Booster. Over 200k with those, aka there is no cheaper way to get a bigger tank.

And the ENI, high DPS with good speed and decent tank are just called bad cause people didnt take the effort to get creative with them.

Yeah we spent like 10 minutes killing an augoror navy with sniper dessies and a blackbird last night, but its just a bait ship =X

A scythe fleet is cheap and as fast as most cynabals with a nano fit. 300+ dps depending on weapons etc.

Very underestimated. To shine though you need perfect fitting skills to work with the tight CPU and PowerGrid.

Great heavy tackler and nimble.

Look up my losses for a fit. i can lose like 50 or more of them compared to the costs of one cynabal.


Navy EX has some uses and fits easier since blaster buff. And is fast.

Navy Aurogur is at least a great bait ship with hard tank.


The navy osprey though....cant even fit a niche, Caracal is just better in most every way. I guess you can nano it?

The Tier one Navy cruisers (with the exception of the Navy Auguror*) suffer primarily from being designed for a role which was almost immediately designed out of the game.

They were released towards the end of the Nano Age, when speed tanks were still ludicrous, when the Nano'phoon was still the rampage ship of choice. The Osprey in particular was hailed as a true nano option for Caldari pilots; fast, agile and missile armed.
Almost immediately however the Great Speed Nerf was instituted and the playing field levelled... with the Tier one Navy cruisers buried underneath it Blink
Either they weren't treated (as was the case with the Vagabond et al) as special cases which were acknowledged to rely on speed or the terrain had changed to such a degree that they just didn't fit anymore (or they seemed better in other roles in the same way as the Ishtar).

*The Navy Auguror was the original Amarr Navy cruiser, sitting alongside the Navy Vexor, Fleet Stabber and Navy Caracal; when the rest of the races received their Tier one Navy cruisers the Amarr got the Navy Omen... which led to a few idiosyncrasies in both ships.

I'm sure lol, but it actually does 300 or so DPS as well. If not for the snipe/BB config it would have taken a few down with it. It might do less DPS then some cruisers but if you got double the tank you're still going to win Cool

True. But lest be realistic here they need some tweaks. It almost feels like 5% here or there and they become more useable.

Also give navy osprey a better drone bay.
