Referring to this excellent post https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=89639&find=unread I would like to add that Eve players in general certainly encourage a culture of backstabbing, disloyalty, faithlessness, falseness, falsity, infidelity, perfidy, treachery, treason, two-timing, backbiting, inebriety, intoxication (Pub crawl anyone?); debauchery (having surveyed chat channels in general) dissoluteness, disrespect, offence, jeering, mocking, ridiculing, sneering, disparaging, maligning, reviling, sluring, oppressing, hard-heartedness, mercilessness, pitilessness, ruthlessness, unfeelingness; fellness, ferociousness, ferocity, fierceness, grimness; cattiness, despitefulness, hatefulness, malevolence, maliciousness, malignity, meanness, nastiness, spitefulness; hardhandedness, harshness, heavy-handedness, oppressiveness, abusiveness, cruelty; abhorrence, execration, hate, hatred, loathing; animosity, antagonism, antipathy, bitterness, enmity, grudge-holding, hostility, ill will, jaundice, mean-spiritedness, rancor, resentment; despicableness, invidiousness; vengefulness, vindictiveness; aversion, disgust, bitchery, bitchiness, contempt, disdain; jealousy, pique, resentment, scorn; bile, rancor, virulence, vitriol, revenge, payback, reprisal, requital, retaliation, retribution, vengeance.

And then people wonder why the Eve player base is not growing What?


If people dont have a moral compass, then we learn from history they can easily justify even genocide.

Tip for new players;

1) enjoy flying space ships and admire the beautiful Eve graphics,

2) Keep to a minimum your "so-called" Eve friends

3) Have plenty of RL religious friends (yes I'm proud to admit I'm a Christian) who believe in objective morality :)

second, for most of the time i have played this game the majority of my wealth has been accessable by other players and no one has stolen a thing. And i mean 10 + Billion isk so as long as you stay away from Nullsec and corps that advertise for highsec mission runners who want 10% tax you will be just fine

That's just my personal advice to new players, whether non-religious people have a "religious" belief in an objective morality, is outside the scope of the discussion. Thank you kindly for your reply :)

Good thing you are an EVE Player then. Welcome. We appreciate you coming to a game advertised by acts like the Guiding Hand Social Club's assasination of Mirial and complaining because it is that type of game. If you wish to simply smell the flowers, may I recommend purchasing Game Time Codes or PLEX from CCP, putting it on the market place and spinning your ships in station.

Because honestly - you are coming to a game with your thesaurus splurge as the core of it and then complaining because it doesn't let you skip and dance amongst the rainbows and because the other capsuleers are mean to you. New players expect anything else? They are playing the wrong game.

HTFU or GTFO. I have no more patience for you tools that come to the game and expect it to be something else. Go away. Your kind are not welcome here. You don't use a hammer to paint a wall, because the tool is not designed to do that. EVE is not designed for the types of players you want to attract.

Objective morality doesn't exist, there is never one answer that applies in all situations to any moral choice.

What we got here is the ever elusive Thesaurus-rex prowling about! Its a mighty beast, thought to be near extinction from the lack of intelligence as humans devolve into stupidity and make up words like lol, GTFO, UR, and all that. A Thesaurus-rex is a mighty book with similar descriptive words very much like Text Speak boys and girls, but sadly grammar and spelling are slowly disappearing to one day vanish.
