Killboard for RMT bans

Killboard for RMT bans

Just like a normal killboard, only, this one shows their ISK lost on their account, their skills and their name. So when someone gets banned, we can all laugh at them and see that CCP is actually doing something about it. (not that I doubt it)

According to CCP, that's only happened TWICE. But, as a precaution, the KB could be delayed for 2 weeks or something.

Petition and if you were really wronged it will be fixed.

This player could be innocent, it does happen. But once named the player is open to be attacked and even if proven innocent the people who pick targets may not check any list that clears people or at least don't before they take action.

Kill the Bots great. But lets make sure that if there is a system that will funnel L Projectile Ammo towards botters that innocent people are not caught in the crossfire.

You are already responsible and subject to retaliation for actions you commit in game, lets not funnel undue heat from on high and break the level playing field of the Sandbox.

I am opposed to name and shames until only those 100% Guilty are at the receiving end.

I think bans should remain anonymous just as it is with any other gm process, however I thInk some sort of counter and total of seized assets would be a good thing and act as a detterent once people see that wallets are being taken into negative figures and assets being seized .

There are posibilitys to prevent this.

- delaiyed list like allready mentioned by some weeks
- offer namechanges to false-listed (only time I suport a name change option)

Why the hell can't I fitt capital repairs or shield booster on an Orca ... it's an CAPITAL ship!

I'm confused.
Why would CCP move funds from one player to another like that? This is not the same as taking away someone's isk that was supposedly gained through RMT right? I thought in those cases that CCP just made the ISK go *poof*

Absolutely support an RMT/Bot ban public list. If anyone ever gets on there by mistake and it's proven then CCP just makes a correction and publishes it on the same list. Sort of like when the NYT does a crap/bs story and has to print a retraction.

Obfuscation for the WIN on page 3...

I didn't say if they, I just said change.

Anyway it isn't a solution if people don't want to lose there in game name.

My opinion is that if anyone can get hurt by this this it is to far. Better 1000 Guilty...

This is exactly why we have all the stop bullying campaigns. Somewhere over the last twenty years we went from getting ahead by crushing everyone beneath us to a society run by a bunch of bleeding p/o\ssies. Kids get awards for picking flowers in center field instead of catching balls and getting hits. People are employed (qualified or not) and promoted based on color and sex instead merit. You want some thing done to show the fall of these people who cheat, but we have to protect their rights even though they forfeited those rights when they started cheating. Work hard, play by the rules, if you can't follow that then go to WoW.

Now I italicized the point that you made about the actual topic. Lets break down where that falls apart. You say they forefitted rights when they started cheated while quoting a post about not implementing a name and shame system if innocent people can become victims. So if they haven't started cheating and work hard while playing by the rules why do they lose these rights. Do you think a system should be implemented that has the potential to harm these hard workers instead of waiting until false positives are a thing of the past.

And bolded the World of Warcraft Dribble because that is always entertaining..

Apparently you fall in to the category of individuals who think that everyone has rights and is innocent until proven guilty. If CCP took isk away from RMTers and banned accounts that had toons used in attempts to launder isk from RMTing (P.S. A database that tracks all transactions in game is considered possession.) then I would say these folks are guilty. Possession is nine-tenths of the law If you have issues with a bought toon who later gets banned due to laundering CCP should ban the original seller and return the isk from purchase. As far as this thread for false banning a delay in posting names of the shamed would be sufficient to clear names if you are not guilty.
