After recent events and many previous to them, I am seeing many 'claim' to unsubscribe. My questions is; are the kind of players this game needs right now?

Sure, sure they pay money, but what do they really contribute to the game? From those saying they are leaving, I have done very extensive research and I can not find any significant contribution they have done in the past. So I say to them, "Don't let the door hit you on the way out!" They will not be missed because they did nothing in the way of the Butterfly Effect.

CCP is working on EVE harder than ever and it is high time we get off their back and let them do their job. They work on the game because it is their passion, their love, everything. It is easy for these quitters to throw rocks from a glass house, especially from third party forums like Failheap Challenge and Kugutsumen, when they don't even play EVE anymore. If your not playing the game, then you have no right to comment on it.

So to the haters, I say, "If your not good enough to play, then please shut your cake whole and let the rest of us enjoy the game!"

Poor sad little pirates,  why you so mad?

Obviously you care enough about the quitters to make a thread about it Roll

well... after telling us that you joined EvE mainly because incarna and ask questions like I was wondering in the next expansion bring as much content, fun and fixes as Apocrapha did?, it is difficult to take this thread seriously. Wishes to push full development focus to incarna didn't help either.

Perhaps you should look into mirror and repeat the quoted line?

TBH, as long as they stay within the EULA, i don't think CCP cares.

But yet CCP soundwave is quoted as saying we wont be getting another "all-hands-on-deck" expansion like Apocrypha. How is that "Harder than ever"?

And the most obvious answer is....

they pay the same amount of money as you do so if they want to moan they can.....

For me I'm enjoying EVE now as much as I did when I started (apart from the nex store) but if someone wants to moan let them.

Put your self into the possition of CCP.

Would you rather have a player base thats mute, never gives any feedback on good or bad? Suddenly your subscribtion numbers drop and you dont even know what you did wrong.

Vocal and passionate players might be bad mouthing CCP atm, but eventually they are the true source of feedback.

Google "communication models" and you will know what I mean.

"I'm going to unsubscribe" is a msg sent by the customer, which means "I liked the product you offered, but since you have made XYZ changes I do not enjoy it and will not pay anymore".

Most of the mmo's in the market have this group of players. They have been wronged by the developer in some way and to the extent that they feel is unjustifiable.

They are also the ones that leave with the most constructive critisism (typo?) for the devs to read. It might be an angry post, but it is excactly how they feel.

Unfortunately you also have the ones that reads said post, sees that it gets a lot of attention, maybe even a blue or a red in it, and look for it as a way to get attention themselves.

They usually jump on the bandwagon. That way they wont have to make up something new, and their threats are usually hollow. They just want to see if they can get the attention.

Anyway.

"Quitters" excists in every game, you can't escape them. It is usually better to ignore them.

And threads like this one most of the time attracts negative attention. If you wanted open discussion it would be better to word it a little different.

If you only wanted to state something then that is fine. I'll just move on then.

I joined eve in Early beta, participated by finding and posting many bugs and solutions to common problems. I got killed in my Heron by the first titan "hotdrop" by CCP devs promising cruisers to everyone that went to a certain station.

I joined the tranquillity server in May 2003 joining PIE a few months after that, I parcipated in the empire wars between Amarr and Minmatar corperations that spearheaded many of the RP events on the server.

I saw Jove ships with my own eyes flown by Jove CCP characters

I participated in countless battles and skirmisches, fighting, building and progressing to Admiral and Director status of PIE which was at the time THE Amarr Corperation. (together with Imperial Dreams we where CVA)

I participated in the anti pirate operations in Sarum that in that time was a 0.4 system next to Amarr, at least partly thanks to PIE and early CVA corperations we role-played Sarum into a 1.0 system.

I fought in the very first championship for Amarr succession after the Emperor died, in fact the first time CCP organised an event where players fought each other in an arena. Later this became know as the alliance tournaments.

I participated and helped plan the early invasion and clearing of the providence corridor and space which was infested in pirates spearheading the eventual colonization of what become know to be CVA providence.

I helped fight Minmatar organisations in and around providence and the Empire under PIE

I took a nap

I went to the first Fanfest

I talked to Reynier and Hilmir and Hammer and other devs about EVE when it was just launched and CCP where brighteyed and fun.

I lived in a wormholed experiencing a whole new side of EVE and a whole new meaning to paranoia

I rejoined CVA under Epitoth Guard and helped expand and deploy Providence stations.

I fought in the expansion war after dominion that eventually irked AA so much they and their allies come to us and took our sov

I fought in the infamous DGTMI fleet where CVA lost +-100 capitals while watching a black screen.

I roleplayed, fought, killed, died, podded, got podded, read, smiled, suggested, commented, lost, won, preached, prayed, sieged, got sieged for years but with the exception of some old friends and enemies I am nobody.

But most of all, I am a man who cares about this universe, has invested time in it and wishes it the best. But I will be leaving on November when my sub runs out for another year if things do not improve.

In paradox terminology the op is a 'naïve appeaser'.

Although I agree, and also found it hilarious when all the forum superstars rage quit ... then came back.

There was a fascist leader in Germany in the 1930s who asked if we really need certain kinds of people, look how that turned out.
