meh at buggy forums eating my wall of text :(

I'm rapidly realising that CCP are better trolls than we are What?

CCP killed the dream, "excellence, deliver & soon™" are now bywords for CCP incompetence and mismanagement.

CCP Zulu needs to take a class in Public Relations and learn how to talk to people that pay his employer money every month. We're not rabble, we're paying customers and as such deserve a little respect.

Dev blogs without content are not worth publishing, "we're working on spaceships" would have got a much more positive reaction than the vapid effort that started this threadnaught. Buzz words just don't cut it when your products biggest fans have lost faith in the games direction.

The gameplay itself encourages us to be evil, backstabbing, dishonest, manipulative and downright nasty. Player driven propaganda, content, advertising & media far outweighs anything that CCP put out. When Eve hits the headlines 90% of the time it does so because of player driven events, could be a massive ponzi scheme, a huge corp theft or burning down the trade hubs because the NEX store is priced stupidly Oops (and it is stupid, micro means small not the cost of a damn plex). The evil backstabbing part comes out when CCP screw stuff up and the players have to resort to the gaming media to air their concerns because CCP have their lalalala earplugs in where the "rabble" concerned, they only listen when it becomes known outside the game and their income and image could be affected.

Alienating the fan base by releasing content that is either unfinished, poorly executed or just plain unwanted, and insulting them is not a good way to gain new players, especially when the fans are the ones that do most of the advertising by word of mouth.

Crowd Control Productions? recently it's been more like Comedy Central Productions. The cats are now out of the bags, good luck with herding cats CCP

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Meh. CCP took out massive loans to build WoD and Dust. They probably made delivery promises to go along with those loans. It's not as simple as snapping your fingers and moving devs back to where we all want them. They probably have to negotiate later delivery times and possible financial incentives with their investors. There are many reasons why they may not be ready to 'go public'. Legal departments have a great way of slowing everything up.

Anyone who's had to work in a customer service business realizes that when a customer walks in and you can't get to them right then and there - at the very least you should make eye contact, acknowledge their presence, and promise to be right with them. That's customer service 101 and that's all this dev blog was. It's the anger and resentment that goes along with 18 months of neglect that make it insufficient. What?

They should have taken it one step at a time, keep working on EVE and maybe start some development on a second game but not dropped EVE almost entirely for two other game developments. Using EVE as live testing for features of your new games is completely unacceptable and we will not tolerate it.

This is our stand as both players of EVE and paying customers against neglect of the game we love and we will not backdown, we will see that this is all corrected or we shall witness the fall of CCP.

To paraphrase CCP's intrepid CEO, I think I'm going to "ignore what you say and make up my mind based on what you actually do."

I will be happy when I see the "ship spinning" issue resolved; being able to choose whether we want to exit our ships or not makes sense, not only from a usability perspective, but also from an immersion perspective.

The bigger question, however, is how are you going to balance adding new features with fixing existing ones? I don't think anyone wants to see EVE become stagnant, but neither do we want to see nearly every aspect of EVE in a state of perpetual pre-beta!

Wow, There are so many opinions floating around about what should be done, its a wonder anything gets done. Some say CCP promises too much and deliver too little, and when they respond to that by holding back on forecasting future direction others pipe up and say they don't say enough. The CSM members seem to express just as diverse views. It will take me a year to sort this all out to understand what do we want. But I know we're now Walking in station now, Or more like "Pacing in Room" we're working on populating the planets; Something is happening in 0.0 to Sovereignty. Changes are being made to the UI; the game looks damn good; and for its complexity it works damn good; and, we've got a new Forum that hopefully will help me make sense of all this. I have been around a little more than a year now, and it is all so complex, I need another year to figure out what's been going on from last year to this year. I guess its just a good job around, the player-base blast CCP so hard and from so many directions, CCP actually performs well above my expectations in rising to the occasion to meet player demands, therefore excelling in this game production. And by the way, when my wife asks, "Are you still playing that GAME?. I seriously reply, "It's not a game. It's a simulator. A life simulator." But she walks away mumbling, "It's a game." A damn good game it is.Cool

CCP HQ, a few hours after the blog post:

The intern runs and abrupty interrupts The CEO. He hates when people enter his office during tea.

- Hilmar, Hilmar, we have a problem.
- What is it, intern?
- People are complaining and bitching again in the forums!!!
- AGAIN? Release the Zulu!
- A-a-re you sure?
- Enough! Release the Zulu!

CCP is becoming a pretty good case on how not to run PR in the game industry.

Okay, enough trolling of CCP trolling players and player trolling CCP.

When can we expect the devblog we have been expecting?

If this was the devblog, then I feel trolled. I mean, I'm happy you're moving towards a newer brighter future and all that, but you know, curious parties (me) want to know what you're actually planning. And I like devblogs, that is blogs with dev in them.

If you guys are still coming up with the devblog we have been waiting for (tm) you could have just said something like "we're still working on something give us another week" or something like that. 'cause at the moment it's like you're saying we're going to get coca cola and then you're like POW PEPSI. PWNT. Which is a bit like. :-\

Funny, real funny. You think being passive-aggressive with the angry mob (you know, the rabble?) is the best way you can represent CCP? You do NOT have any goodwill left Zulu - you've lost that away some time ago. We are not your equals, we're your bread and butter. Now, act mature and speak to us in a manner becomming a normal customer / customer-service relationship.

We care about this game, it's why we where ever "rabbling" in the first place. I'm starting to doubt CCP cares since the one of only public CCP voices is Zulu and the others are backing him. I can only take that as CCPs official attitude towards me and other customers. Rabble, was that the word? Funny...

PS:
Give us back the old forums - a beta such as this is pretty lame. If you quote something, you can't even see the freekin' source? Heh... It's what, 5-6 years since I last saw a forum with that feature missing....

To be honest.

I am pissed as anyone at CCP but please some bloddy patience.

If the new ship spin option. and the other stuff gets implemented it ia good first step.

And if I think what they doing is actually what they doing now it is totally undestandable that it is going to take some time.

CCP please do NOT disapoint again because IF you do I am pretty sure that is going to be the end of this game.
which would be a shame.

No, I don't have any patience left. CCP focus on shaders for hello capsuleer online, and not spaceships? They have chosen this path for development since their last "hick"up, where the CSM was flown to Iceland? They knew what we, the "rabble", wanted and they didn't care. Now, patience? No, simple as that. They choose a freekin' font over spaceships?! Now, if I actually cared for this game I might take offence...

The ship spin was TAKEN OUT, it's not a new feature by any means. The code exists already. It's a good, "bring the game back on track" step - they will however *NOT* get, nor do they deserve, credit for re-implementing something they never should have removed in the first place. They effed up, big time, and now they pay the price. It's the very least they can do.

To be honest this gave me a giggle.

To be honest laughed at the Zuku's comment.

See while we the player base have been and rightly so throwing feces on CCP like monkeys in the ZOO. It is natural.

Correct or professional ? No but funny and understandable.

Just deliver something that is not a steaming pile of garbage CCP and we will shut up.
