0/ Guys,

So i have a question. Im in a null sec corp thats mainly eu so when the US guys come on, there's no roams etc. Atm, we have about 4-10 people from the US so Ive decided to start our own roams so that we can have some fun.

So what ships should i use with such a small gang(4-10)?

We mainly fly mini/caldari.

Thanks.

3 Artillery Hurricanes, 6 PODLA Drakes and 1 Huginn/Rapier.

Scale down as required, but always keep the Rapier there for range control.

I'd swear there was another thread with this exact question a week or so ago.

Well theres a lot you can do in a 4 to 10 man fleet, everyone has been saying nanos, that is always fun. Something like 2-3 scimi, a few nano dps like vagas, and your caldari guys can always field something like rooks for deeps and ewar, or nano cerbs, or drakes if you really want to be boring Big smile

Frig gangs are fun at that size too, choose a well traveled pipe and just mobile camp the **** out of it, works especially well against giant blobby coalitiony type groups that wont really hunt down a few frigs and a drag bubble. Ceptors, minny AFs, drams, sabres, all good for that kind of work.

As long as its mobile, most gang comps will work fine, just keep fast enough to outrun the big fleets you encounter and laugh as you enjoy a much more fun and happy small gang experience.

You can just fly traditional nano cane/drakes and then add the hug/rapier when your feel comfortable. Infact I would suggest it until you get the hang of nanoing. You'll be able to engage most things you find with some level of success.

AC Canes are the worst "traditional" shield BC at kiting around. In small gangs, you need utility and those PODLA (or 1 web/1 invuln) Drakes give you webs, unlike the normal brick versions.

Huginn/Rapier are there for keeping the really dangerous stuff away, as well as letting you deal with other nano-gangs comfortably.

OK forget BC/expensive stuff and such because if you knew what you were doing you wouldn't be asking here Blink

You basically want frigates and a dictor, so your racial shipskills are ideal.

The reasoning behind that is you're going to make loads of mistakes as you learn. Having great mobility helps gtf out of those situations. Little bit of ECM helps loads too for very small gangs - eg don't let all the frigates fit webs for example, a track/scram on one, web/point on another would give you more options.

I'd be quite happy with this for 5 ship fleet : 1 x Sabre, 1 x Griffin/Kitsune and 3 x Rifter/Wolf/Jaguar

If you can't manage the dictor or you're losing the Sabre too often (it'll be primary) then take along a few bubbles and a fleet inty - Stiletto would be ideal although I hate flying them.

Once you got that nailed then ship up.

BCs, in real isk costs, are generally cheaper than T2 frigs, especially a Sabre.
