I am sure that others have thought about it before but I have searched the forums and haven't found anything remotely like this.

What I would like to suggest is to have a new type of contract available.

You know when you have hundreds of items you would like to sell, and you are not sure how much they are worth or you don't want to take the time to sell them one by one, you often would like to have the possibility to show them to people and have them make you an offer.

Currently you have two possibilities :

1 - talk about your items in a channel, and if someone is interested you make them a contract with a very very high price (ten times the value of the items), so that they can look through the list and decide what they could offer you for them. This costs you 10k isk in fees, so it's nothing. But that limits you to one person.

2 - make a public contract, again with a huge price so that no one buys it, it's for consulting purposes only. That requires huge fees. Say I have about 1.2 billion ISK or so of BPCs I would like to sell (hundreds of them). I will put them up for a 3 billion isk contract and show them to people, to see if they want to make me an offer. That is going to cost me a TON of money in fees because it s a public contract.

So, now to my suggestion.

I would like to have a new contract format, where you could put up your items in a format, with no price, and no possibility of people to buy it (no purchase button).

Some kind of showcase where you could throw in 200 items, and show them in the trade channels, saying : I have all these for sale, would anyone want to make me an offer ?

I am fairly certain that this is quite easy to implement on the basis that the code for other contracts already exists. Instead of listing hundreds of items separately, on the forums etc, you would just use that special showcase format and people could browse your goods and then make you an offer which you might find acceptable, after which you will simply contract the items to them using regular item exchange contracts.

I don't really see any reasons to be against an idea like this, considering there is no "Purchase button" and no "Price category", it could not be used for scamming.
