Hypocritical CCP just amplified the rage against "the victim"

Now I'm told "the victim" who was otherwise completely cool with everything, and seemed like a very normal player. He's got 1.1bil bounty on him, and there are hundreds of players hunting his characters now. CCP has brought this upon a supposed "suicide risk" character by publicly angering tens of thousands of players against him, who now solely have him to use as a punching bag.

Congratulations CCP, you just accomplished everything you claimed you were setting out to stop.

This is clear harassment, players involved should be banned.

so he could use one of his other accounts to get another bil isk? sounds like people are just trying to help him out some more.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

CCP doesn't care about the guy all they care about is the PR they were getting. I'm pretty sure the anti Mittens crowd has a much better influence over the gaming media than that poor guy does.

Also, that bounty is up to 3.2 billion.

Sounds like EVE working as intended. He could of course petition CCP for "greifing" if that becomes applicable.

Should anyone harass or threaten him out of game, he's got some damn good lawsuit material otherwise.

Eugh, no. CCP caused nothing of the sort.

I'm not so sure non-drunk Mittani would be all that thrilled to know that people are going after this guy.

I agree with the above, people harassing this guy in game should be banned.

The suicide risks came from The Mitanni encouraging others to harass him until he killed himself.

Plus, the bounty system doesn't mean anything. There are people that have been flying around with bounties in the billions that haven't been podded in years.

CCP said they would be monitoring the guy for any extream actions or retaliations against him.. They're just going to get themselves banned if they are found to be apart of any scheme to harass this dude because of what another ******* decided to him..

Be grown-ups people... Who's your fight with really? That guy or the misteps of your CSM to GET HIMSELF banned?

As long as they act within game mechanics its not harassment, sorry, but CCP brought all the attention on the man in question, he wasn't going to be bothered until they made a mountain out of a molehill.\

If i was the man in question i would actually talk to a lawyer, as CCP has unquestionably put him in a position where the largest portion of the game possible hates him.
