New Ships (None ******** version)

only sensible suggestion here i can see is dedicated gas cloud harvester, since it feels stupid to harvest gas with ferox (since it has no other use in game)

even ccp has stated there's no actual need for more capital ships, because well. supercapitals lol. they need to solve capital balance first before making new capital ships. just making a new carrier with better resists and better damage doesn't really give anything new to game just gives more powerful versions of old ships and as we all hopefully know at this point, money in mmo doesn't matter so people would toss away tech 1 versions and fly tech 2. if there was new capital ships they should have dedicated roles and capabilities very different to current carriers or dreads etc. i could personally live with new "exploration class" carrier which would have dedicated role as serving as a base of operations for small gang. i.e. limited ability to launch maybe 5 fighters just for luls, weakish tanking ability, limited remote repair module strenght or range but good cargo and ship space with clone bay with large fuel bay and good jump range. but i really believe we're not going to see anything like that soon(tm).

same thing goes with new battleships or battlecruisers suggested. just making something similar, and to some extent utterly useless things we already have is not really good plan. imo.

Re: Capitals, I'd personally nerf super caps so that they became one set of tier 2 carriers, removing the ewar immunity and a bunch of other stuff.

Not sure it would wash with there current owners though... But the propellent injection vent changes were a bigger pain in the ass..

As for new combat ships... There needed, yes, these new ships need to do new things, with new game mechanics and new behaviours because this game is about conflict. It's what drives everything.

A man who does not know the difference between "there" and "their" obviously has no clue what he's suggesting when it comes to capitals and super balancing.


i say keep supers as is, buff capitals, nerf sub caps and down with all hobos who can't afford big stuff.

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

No T3 battlecruisers please. battlecruisers in eve are already way to versatile. Also, please don't make more pirate versions, rather have a faction variant of the tier 3 battleships on par with pirate ships, because pirate ships being stronger in each and every way over a navy issue ship is just silly.

imagine a massive ship expansion....and it will be only industrial ships, not a single combat ship.
