Well not that it bothers me that much or anything (I don't even own a PS3) but I thought since the UI (Fittings and such) that was shown on fanfest are quite identical to EvE's fitting window, that CCP did that work themselves:P
new link for the video , since the old one got marked as private

video no longer working

Now that vid actually was linked on a site about Battlefield 3, BUT when watching it i noticed the DUST "fitting window" a few times.

Point of the thread?
Uh just tossing it out there :)

Timestamps for the DUST ui snips:
2:06
3:31

3:50i'sh (Talking about CCP/DUST)

Furthermore, quite interesting vid hehe.

seems to be the case, since they actually mention Dust and EVE near the end of the video. Good catch, are those guys also busy with the EVE UI? Or is that still Punkturis job?

Edit: seeing the comments on youtube I might be getting sceptical. I personally wasn't a great "fan" of the fitting screen since it seemed you had to scroll through all of your stuff to fit something. But then again, I haven't played it.

Thanks :)
Well no Idéa if they are involved with EvE, but one would think a devblog or something would announce that.
Can't really find any info on that subject:( (tried lurking on the companys site)

Well, most of the comments are directed to BF3's UI (which could be more than what it is on PC) ^^

Why do so many programmes use flash? All the programmers and devs that have talked about flash have complained bitterly about it.

Did that guy say the immortal phrase "push the envelope?" Ugh

There is a software called ScaleForm that allows devs to design UIs and having it fancy effects in flash and then bind it to their programms.

http://gameware.autodesk.com/scaleform

AFAIK, most major games do use this tech.

btw... the linked video seems to be marked as private...cannot watch it. :/

Yarr, scaleform, seems to be what they are working in/with.

And the video, uh yeah it just got marked as private (checked the link) was working fine before, they might have gotten butthurt from the rage/abuse from the BF3 community ><, I'll see if i can find another link

new link for the video , since the old one got marked as private

new link, and updated OP
