One comment I picked up watching fanfest, I think it was from the economics slideshow was something along the lines of "this shows space is filling up" something like that, I don't recall the exact statement but the sentiment stayed with me anyway

So, are there any plans to introduce more space, more wormholes or other ways to spread people out or is congestion and more people per system the goal ? - I think the last new systems were blackrise with FW?, some time ago, surely the stargate production companies have managed to build a few more since then :)

I still want to be able to fly out into "dark space" and get lost in space. Just set my warp drive, point myself in one direction and come back in 10 hours, hit stop and take in the darkness with a glass of rum.

I, too, want my own constellation.

Nah, CCP clearly believes that they can continue to grow their subscriber base exponentially while keeping the amount of space fixed, because even in Cobalt Edge people are seeking "The Jita Experience".

Of course there are very serious ramifications to expanding space - more systems necessarily means more resources available, and those resources will not necessarily be "shared" in a uniform fashion, but immediately seized by the "super-alliances" - resulting in the typical economic phenomenon of the rich getting richer with the poor remaining relatively unchanged. This would tend to "unbalance" the game even further in the favor of older, more established and organized players. Some would say this is good (especially those players).

I guess the ideal scenario would be adding space in such a way that only relatively new people would receive immediate benefits and larger alliance would actually be "punished" for taking it - maybe some sort of exponential sov bill or something. Then the new space would benefit those who most "need" it, resulting in more alliances and eventually more war.

Yeh a separate section of 0.0 that can only be gotten to via worm holes now would be a interesting twist.

No gates or cyno's to get there but once you are there another whole frontier.

0.0 Space with gates and 0.0 rule set just no easy way to get in or leave.
And no NPC space or stations if you want one you build it.

Jove space opens for your exploratory pleasure. Enter at your own horrifically terrible risk. I hear there is a chance of clone signal degradation an possible skill point losses if podded to deep in the empire.

If Goons were around when God said, "Let there be light" they'd have called the light gay, and plunged the universe back into darkness by squatting their nutsacks over it.

Get rid of gates, get rid of cynos, keep bridges though, space problem solved.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.  - William Pitt

Yet still not that crowded, the space is owned yeah, but there isn't that many people in null sec for the amount of area that it takes up in comparison to lolhighsec.

The force projection in null is WAY too strong though, but I can't think of any good way to tone it down without completely gutting it, which is also bad.
