The choice is obvious. Stay in office as Chairman for Life (I actually voted for Alekseyev Karrde with all of my accounts, for the record). Ignore all the people bitching and calling for blood. They're just trying make political gains and don't actually give two ***** about what you said, nor about The Wis.

How about the fact that half the threads in GD and in the CSM sub forums have been about Mittani resigning because he does [insert reason here]. Be it scamming or the Ice Interdiction, people have been out for Mittani's blood well before this off the cuff remark and were actively trying to wrest the CSM chair from him and all of the "ebil goons." The fact that he received 10,000 votes - more than twice as many as the next highest - made it obvious that all of political opponents had no chance of unseating him legitimately, so they pounced on a comment made in jest. A comment that is frankly not a big deal, and should have been ignored.

The only things people should be saying about his presentation was that he tried too hard and that it wasn't particularly entertaining, neither of which are reason for his resignation.
