CCP, I was very impressed by everything shown off at fanfest. Thanks for the HD stream. Heres an idea or two from my point of view. Although somewhat inspired by the amazing new trailer, I think these would add a lot of value to FiS:

Cinematic View
I think it will become more and more important to create an easy way for pilots to experience all that is (and will be) amazing and beautiful in Eve. As a fleet participant, I often fly zoomed out very far in order to keep situational awareness and fly effectively. Wouldn't it be great to hit a button and your cameras and view adjust themselves so that you can see your ship, your target and your surroundings in detail?

I saw a mock-up of the picture-in-picture feature you're working on - a close up of your target, or something. While that definitely looked cool (and the new UI looked very sleek!) I'd take that a few steps further! My screen is cluttered as it is. If I'm going to view a closeup of my target in a new window, I'll be doing so at a time when I can afford to give up the space (and not about to die). Make that a whole new view option with great effects, angles and incentive.

Tactical View
You briefly demonstrated a new tactical view you're working on. We didn't get much detail on what that may contain, but I think its an AWESOME idea and will really help take tactics and engagements to the next level. Please consider the information FCs want to know when designing this. Locations of fleet members, locations of neutral/hostiles on grid with fleet members, what friendly ships are tackled, vector and sig radius of observed hostile fleets.. just a few examples.

Related: DUST players should be able to see Eve fleets cynoing in at a planet, which would likely herald their destruction Twisted. The thought reminds me of that scene in Battlestar when Adama FTL jumps the ship into the planet's atmosphere during the rescue of New Caprica. If you're a BSG fan, you know what I'm talking about!!

Fiddling with advanced camera options can bring neat stuff but more is required!

I agree, I advanced camera control are cool for when you can actually devote the time to it. But when actually playing and in fleet (doing either pvp or pve) its virtually impossible to utilize them, you know?
