This is a good illustration of the concept that I call, The Goon's Burden, the God given task of creating player content, in form of strife, drama and conflict, tales that resound throughout the gaming industry. People ask, what is this EVE Online game? How I remember the day when I paid my 500m and was sworn into the Swarm, my recruiting officer asked, can you bear the burden? It is only today I do dare to answer with conviction, Yes.

While you weeptards google up internet laws, whine, claim morality this and that, ask yourselves, what have you done for the game? What is your worth to the game, in your 3 alt vanity 0% tax corps, your shitposting npc corp forum alt, your gaming activities nothing but a mindless grind towards your next monthly plex.

Take up the Goon's burden

In patience to abide

To veil the threat of terror

And check the show of pride;

By open speech and simple

An hundred times made plain

To seek another’s profit

And work another’s gain

Take up the Goon’s burden—

And reap his old reward:

The blame of those ye better

The hate of those ye guard—

The cry of hosts ye humour

TA on wis: "when we have a feature that is its own functional ecosystem of gameplay then hooks into the greater ecosystem of EVE as a whole, and it provides good replayability."

Go read your CEOs apology letter. Take that burden on, and realize that there is a line to creating drama.

IRL Suicides, now EVE-O game content.

**** publicity for EVE-O and CCP right before they launch their next project, courtesy of Mittens.

Does this mean that Goons see themselves as the only ones in EVE that actually do anything?

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

Apparently doing nothing but parroting a sociopath and being told to press F1 in 300 man Maelsrom fleets counts as "doing something for the game"

let's pretend hypothetically (not meant to be offensive in anyway) that the player Kyle Yanowski is owned by
a Mr. Roger Smith, an accountant 35 years old, married with 2 children living in London.

now would it be just as offensive if I, player name Taiwanistan, spouted offensive slander against the player name Kyle Yanowski, as if I slandered against Mr. Roger Smith the real person?

if so half the players of eve might as well be all perma banned.

I'm sure you guys mean well and I know about alot of your stealth politics and how you make decisions.

I don't think you work well as an Ambassador for EVE but in truth I don't think CCP make a good one either. You only need to be on Test server for a week to see that. They test for a very exclusive group of EVE players and blue fit is consiodered normal.

"I'm only T2 fit" comes up 10 times an hr. 99% of EVE fits T2. There is a severe disconnect with the bulk of EVE and yours like CCP's mission is on another dimension all together.

On the side topic, this a thousand times over. Mittani never asked to be a poster boy for EVE.

If you're only pressing F1 in an alpha fleet you're a terrible player who belongs in highsec.

The difference between our 3 man corps and your thuperallianth is that we didn't publicly disgrace ourselves and the game.

And then our alts didn't get on the forums and condone it.

The Goons that have posted in support of what went down have proven themselves to be utter ******* tools.

You can call me anything you want but you can never bring me down to your level of shame.

A little drunken swagger indeed. Hold onto that as tight as you can, and close your eyes really, really tight, and maybe this will all go away.

It's a game, not a religion. Your boss had the guts to say he was wrong and to apologize in public. You can't accept that and move on? Too bad for you.
