It's just a conveniant straw man -- the actual topic appeared the same night as the panel but it didn't pick up speed until after Mittens was re-elected -- people are using to vent their rage.

And as usual people jump on the bandwagon without doing their research or reading (at least skimming) the thread.

OK, I'll bite. What information am I missing that I failed to research?

My understanding is that during his alliance presentation The Mittani showed a few examples of humorous tear mails, including one in which some dude said his life was going hard and he was thinking of suicide. During the post panel discussion period he said something very similar to, if not word for word, "If you want to get the guy to really kill himself, his name is ... Get him."

This person has been, and continues to be on the CSM.

What did I miss?

Just wondering whether OP bothered to tell The Wis that the chat was going to end up on the forum. If not, this is a very low act.

So the guy has to be further abused by all the goons who are defending the original gaffe. This is really priceless. The defenders of this are only making a bad situation worse.

They dont actually care about the event in question. The only concern is that Mittani is on the CSM and this is fodder against that.

This subject was already brought up before and nobody gave a ****. Only after the CSM elections did it become an 'outrage'.

There's been a witchunt against Mittani for months now, this isn't new. Ever since he started actually -- gasp -- taking a stance against the huge open secret in EVE.

What secret?

Psst -- it turns out that the entirety of EVE's economy is built on Ice Bots and Drone Region Bots. Yes, I know, I was shocked too.

It turns out if you go after Ice Botters who are running upwards of 25 accounts at the same time, these 25->75 sockpuppets can really make a stink on the forums.

About all this, its hilarious and seems like people are but hurt because Mittens is re-elected as CSM and taking this out of proportions.

All this was a drunken panel and a hilarious one and I applaud that this was allowed and streamed without interventions. I didn't even react on his comments since why would anyone take someone serious when you see they are drinking beer and Jägermister. Thumbs up for CCP for allowing this and people need to chill the **** down.
