They're trying to keep it away from the gaming media in order to shield themselves from having to disassociate themselves with Mittani. It's an old boys club over at CCP. Lock down everything regarding it and then hope the gaming media doesn't really notice to any great extent.

Any other player did what he did, they would have been booted off CSM and banned in-game immediately. There's examples of players who did far less, such as merely telling Devs to "die in a fire", or pointing out the T20 incident. Making a public call for players to go hound someone into killing himself is far more egregious than the vast majority of bannings that have been handed down in the past.

Heck, during the protests against CCP trying to ruin EVE, I got a warning and scolding over starting a thread calling for people to merely post a simple "boo" towards CCP Soundwave. But apparently it's cool for their buddy-boy Mittani to call for people to harass a guy until he's dead.

No, it's okay to call for players to harass someone until they commit suicide.

We should all harass Hilmar until he kills himself. This is accepted discourse by CCP.
