Missions levels is from 1 to 5. So what level I am? I didn't surprise why a lot player drop this game. You don't have level, You have seek quests to whole universe. You want more players, don't confuse and start thinking how to improve quests. If You want play game, so better offer before You start game, read all wikipedia about EVE. So compare with others games, You read wikipedia when You are looking certain items.

How I can know when I am ready for level 2 quests when I am ready for level 3. How I can know what enemies I am meeting. From my side I have time to studies before I start game. But only is a small percent people who can do this.

At least compare my ship power with mission power and give suggestions is Hard, Normal or easy will be with my ship fit.

Lev1 - Frig
Lev2 - Frig/Battlecruser (EDIT- Cruiser)
Lev3 - Battlecruiser
Lev4 - Battleship

I could be wrong, so someone will correct me here... its been a while since i did any missions.

However, Eve is not a game where you are going to have a nice number over your head to tell you what 'level' you are. You are also not going to get a similar number on your targets so you can compare and make sure you can beat it before you attack.

If you want that sort of thing, you should try any other generic MMO out there.

If you want my advice, read the forums, a lot, there is a ton of info out there, and plenty of people who are willing to help.

Oh, there is an 'in game browser' friendly missioning website out there that will tell you everything you need to know about every mission.

Sorry but i dont recall the address at the moment, but either try the new players forum or some google searching will help.

Ask in this forum, https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=topics&f=248

It is the forum for missions and that sort of thing, they will be more helpful.

Missions are really a tiny part of this game, dont make the mistake of thinking this is your standard mmo because you will miss 99% of the game.

What a helpful friendly thread!

As the others say. Missions depend on the ship you fly. Go to level 2 with a destroyer or a cruiser depending on your ability. Also try minning for money and kiling other players. Both are fun things to do. Try talking to as many players as you can at the start.

With destroyer is hard to do or is impossible. I tried once time and was enough to understand. All You guys is saying right. But how we can improve quest missions what will depend on our skills and power? How we can make quest system more interesting? (^_-)

By making missions more random, unpredictable and deadly. Eve is a harsh game and I really dont want another stupid MMO where you play over nothing. Eve is all about that feeling that every time you undock, you can loose what you are flying.

Missions lvl 4 and 5 should be done in a group. You can solo lvl 4 but its sloooooow or you need to be really good. Missions are BAD isk income. As sayed in CCP missioning video: Its just a mean for getting into better ships. So you can then do epic arcs, incursions, exploration. If you want to focus on missioning, just join some missioning corp, they will help you.

CCP really please dont use Upgraded, Limited, Experimental and Prototype in item names. It sounds like the item is actually worse than basic meta 1 item. Use Calibrated, Enhanced, Optimized and Upgraded. Its really easy to understand that the item is better than meta 1 and its also in alphabetic order.

The mission level determines the quality and difficulty. The level is not linked to any level on your part, beyond your standing with the mission-owning NPC corporation, which is used to decide whether or not you can access the appropriate agent.

Higher-level missions are made available by increasing your standing with the lower-level agent and their corporation, usually by doing missions with that lower-level agent. Level 1 agents are available regardless of standing, AFAIK.

So the only way in which the level affects you, is by indicating what kind of ship it's sensible to bring (for a combat mission) or what amount of resources you're likely to need (Distribution etc).

This post was only friendly and helpful because I'm in a good mood. Don't expect it to happen again, or anyone else to be friendly and helpful.

The first thing you can do is stop thinking of them as 'quests' and trying to equate them to other MMOs. Eve is unlike any other MMO you've played. It's a harsh and cruel universe where anything goes. Combat is as much about skill and tactics as it is about skills.

A couple tips for using your destroyer effectively in missions. First off, make sure you're always moving; this will reduce the amount of damage that hits you. Second, fit either short range weapons or long range weapons; don't try to mix them thinking you're covering all the ranges, because it doesn't work like that. Third, either armor tank or shield tank, don't try to do both at once; you can choose to either tank one way well or try to tank both and do it badly. Fourth, use the right forum for talking about missions (Missions & Complexes) instead of posting here.

From what I rememeber I never missioned in a Destroyer....

As a Gallente Drone lover, i did the following as i progressed through the mission levels.

Frig - dont recall
Cruiser - Vexor
BC - Myrmidon
BS - Dominix

Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Level 1:
OK: Frigate

Enemies: Scout drones, frigates and destroyers

Level 2:
OK: Cruiser
Best: Assault Frigate/Assault Cruiser

Enemies: Frigates, destroyers and cruisers

Level 3:
OK: Battlecruiser
Best: Assault Cruiser/Command Ship

Enemies: Frigates, destroyers, cruisers; sometimes elite frigates, elite cruisers and battlecruisers

Level 4:
OK: Battleship
Best: Strategic Cruiser/Command Ship/Faction Battleship/Marauder

Enemies: Elite frigates, destroyers, elite cruisers, battlecruisers, battleships; sometimes elite battleships

Edit: Elite ships are pretty much just ship with ~2x the HP and damage and they usually conduct electronic warfare: jamming your sensors so you can't target stuff; target painting you so you take more damage; draining your capacitor; stasis webbing you so you move slower; warp disrupting you so you can't escape if things get dangerous; etc. They can be pretty annoying.

You mean that you want official guides released by CCP?

My advice:

If you cant run a mission in a specific hull class that you was suposed to be running:

lvl1: frigate/destroyer
lvl2: destroyer/cruiser
lvl3: battlecruiser
lvl4: Battleship
lvl5 ,complexes and incursions sites: Expert Fleets.

So,

1- You are getting killed and needing to warp out: Improve your tank skills... you re lacking them..
2- You are not killing the NPCs fast enough: You lack attack skills... Go train for them...
3 - You have good skills but still can't do? Learn How to fit your ship.
4- You still can't run missions? Learn some Damage reduction/ Amplification techniques like moving your ship to optimal.
5- You still can't run missions? You are doing something really wrong...Start from 1... and get some help...

Good luck!

Eve does have a sense of progression, just not that way other MMOs and RPGs do. In Eve, you choose a desired skill and train for it. You might want to fly a battlecruiser, or a heavy interdictor, or a marauder. Rather than "leveling up" you train for days or months to get the skills you need and grind for the isk to buy the ship and fittings you want.

edit: I believe there is some indication of what kind of ship you should be using on the mission descriptions. I could be mistaken, it's been about a year since I did any.

Isn't better will be introduce items as video or some examples how they are working and where to use better. Because EVE have a lot items and this items You didn't see in others games. So player don't know nothing about what is going around him. Because you didn't born in EVE, but some is created You (like new char). Or in other way, You like lost memory in some ship crash. Very good for player which play EVE online like challenge to adapt to this game and don't give up. But You have to be motivated to do this. How many of them is in EVE online? (^_-)

Another idea will be like broadcast more channels in EVE online as EVEpedia. Now we have only one channel on EVE TV. I am talking about TV in Captain Quarter. If we make channels like TechNews (about items), Military News (about wars, also can be some events, and guns and armor tech), UNews (News like they broadcasting now). Like in tech news Your will get info about upcoming news items like in next patch and also items which always exist. It can be like item description, tips, Weak and strong side and where to use it. Also can be faction news, like represent what is going what faction region, also can be like research news where You can hear about weakest side if enemies. Like saying what scientist found weapons which do more damage to this type of ship. Like broadcast items into TV. Even can be a program: like EVEGad (showing some upcoming items in next pacth), EOS (program where You can find info solar system, planets), DNC (Dust 514 channels, where You can get info about battlefield, in this planet is war) ---- which broadcast on certain time and date , So everyone will have hobby to watch EVE TV, because You can learn, get and use ;-). I think only in this game is very important to have TV, because this game have massive items, massive planets and massive battles and everything in Space (^_-)
