Some of them suck really bad ;)

Maybe it's just basic lack of control from PS3 controller.

Thats first time people played Dust and some don't have experience with controler propably

As it stands with the build that you have seen in the DUST PVP Tournament, 3rd person view is available for players only while driving vehicles (and you can switch between 1st and 3rd person view anytime while driving/flying a vehicle). The times where you could see "over the shoulder" of a dropsuit in the finals, now that has been a spectator camera on a separate machine and one couldn't switch to this mode during combat.

Can't say I'm too fond of vehicles with 3rd person camera's. Limited field of vision is a great way to balance out their firepower and forces them to work together with infantry.

Looks okay so far - a little bit off, but can't really tell why. Perhaps it's the quality of screenshots or films.

I already talked a colleague into borrowing me his PS3 for a couple of weeks, so I will have a first hand look at it.

You have to remember that the players who were in this match had played maybe an hour or two of Dust at most, and as with all new/different FPS there are quirks that you need to get used to.

The winning team (Team Haggis, I'm so proud of my lil' dudes :D) did go on to win rather convincingly in the Devs Vs Players match and their tactics for the games were VERY clever, so it shows that despite a few mistakes they picked it up VERY quickly.

Its a simplistic (looking) shooter.

Doesn't seem to be a lot to pick up.

And yeah, someone said they're adding mouse/keyboard and they *hinted* that it might eventually come out for PC

Hello, hello again.

Being one of the Silver medal winners in the Dust pvp tournament i can tell you the game was absolutely awesome, and remember guys this was just the latest alpha build.
And youre right we had perhaps an hour and a half to test the game before the tournament considering the amount of players that wanted to try out the game.

Did you all play with the PS3 controller?

Where there many flying vehicles in the build and perhaps one that multiple people can operate?

Doesn't seem to be enough about it. No destructable environments, limited amount of transport and environments look very generic. Theres no "OMFG look at that", no set pieces - nothing to put it on par with call of duty or battlefield etc. Sorry but other than the fact that it's attached to EVE I see nothing special about it.

does it have auto-leveling? (y-axis)

That's all I want to know, anything else is crosshair-warfare...

From what I've seen it has auto-stopping for the x-axis, so you do not have to counter a right or left rotation of sights, which would be normal, so I'm hoping I do not have to level the y-axis manually.

I like using controllers when I get to dictate the precise position on the stick on the y-axis to get a head-shot above or below the horizontal plain - when I let go, I like the cross-hair to snap back to central position.

If I have to manually reset the position of the x-axis, I can guarantee you that I will officially suck at this game.

The two closest examples of this that I can attest to are Goldeneye and Turok on the N64, using the controller.

Someone please answer this minor, but crucial point.

It doesn't have to be standard, but please tell me it's an option.
