Halo style battle replay feature?

not like fraps but like the real-time replay editor they have in halo, where you can view the replay in engine and edit your effects and camera angles afterward. also it wouldn't put any load on there servers as it would all be client side.

other then just making really good Eve videos it could be an important GM tool for investigating petitions.
if some crazy bug or exploit happens the file can be uploaded to a GM to study from any angle.

I'm no programmer but it doesn't sound too complicated to implement.
I would love to here from a CCP Dev about how feasible this is.

this does sound like a wonderful idea. however, the only issue is that it would be more stuff in a game where the developers themselves had stated that they wanted to keep everything at X size and no larger.

so, it would have to be a very tiny recording mechanism if at all.
