EOH Poker – EVE's oldest gambling establishment.

We are pleased to announce a public competition to design a new logo and banner ads for our service. We will be awarding 3 BILLION ISK to our grand prize winner, 1 billion ISK to second place, and a PLEX to third.

The competition begins now, and we will be taking entries until midnight on the 9th of December. Winners will be announced on the 15th of December.

Please note our existing colour scheme at www.eohpoker.com. We'd encourage entrants to include our new tagline “Play Real Poker for ISK” where they feel appropriate.

Entrants will submit the following:

1 x 400x400 Logo
1 x 712x89 Banner
1 x 468x60 Banner

These should be uploaded somewhere (like our favourite EVE file hosting site, eve-files.com) and linked in a post in this forum thread. They should also be attached as a ZIP in an email to niraia@gallenteprime.com

At the time of submission, the person submitting the entry must own all copyrights to the work. By submitting the entry, all copyrights are transferred to EVE Online Hold'Em. This transfer of copyrights shall be full and irrevocable. Should your entry be successful, you will be expected to provide source files (PSD, etc) via email with no watermark before being paid. Winners will be judged by EOH staff.

Is it possible to enter the logo competition, without making banner advertisements?

Also, is there a particular reason the logo has to be 400 x 400 dimensions (or rather, have a 1:1 ratio)?

we would like you to make the banner ads, so the text matches the logo.
also, you can feel free to make the main logo bigger than 400x400, provided its still on a 1:1 ratio and we can shrink it down if need be.

I don't think this stipulation has been addressed:

can we submit multiple logos/banners if they are entirely different from the ones we already submitted?

My offering for this contest:

Logo @ 1K x 1K

Large Banner @ 712 x 89

Small Banner @ 468 x 60




I've always felt simpler is better.

Minor tweaks with the PSD are pretty easy if desired.

BTW I just noticed some sorta pixely edges in the logo but they won't exist when it's scaled down to 400x400

Tryed to stay with colours already on the website, but kinda swoppeed the red and the white around

I'd be willing to mix and match logos with anyone if EOH desires and split first and second place prizes (ie 2 billion isk each) to get EOH as awesome of a logo and banner as possible. ;)

although looking back at my entry.. i originally wanted to do something metalic but tryed to keep it in theme with the current site, now i kinda think i went OTT with red, wish i had done alot of that red as black, would still be easy to change to black from the .PSD but i think that would kinda go against this
